Radio show playing "coo-coo" sound effects over Ron Paul ads!

*1/11/08 - UPDATE* - Schnitt says he accidentally hit the sound effect during the commercial, posting pictures showing how the accident happened ( http://s chnittshow.970wfla.com/ronpaul-sfxphoto.html ). He's even linked to this post from his website.

However (if he hasn't already), I think Schnitt should give a free replay of Paul's ad, and anyone else's commercials that were affected by this error. But I have unconfirmed reports that Schnitt has stepped on Citgo commercials too, making fun of Chavez (he said that he would, at the very least) while they play. So, error or not, I appreciate Schnitt's response and hope that this just doesn't happen again on any more commercials on his show.

Finally, way to go RP community for bringing this to his attention!

My brother in Tampa told me that on today's Schnitt Show (carried all over the state on AM and on XM), that they played "coo-coo" sound effects over top of Ron Paul's ad during a break! Schnitt has been known to step on his commercials on purpose, but this is too far!

I think overlaying mocking sounds would count as modification.

Definetely!! That sucks to hear. Rudy has Tampa bought and paid for. I understand better and better why some Floridains want to start running attack ads on Rudy!!!

My brother said the clock in his car showed 3:22pm - I'll post in the campaign suggestion box as @terryp suggested. Apparently Schnitt also makes fun of Citgo ads too.... it could be possible that he was re-running the ad for political commentary, but my bro said it sounded like it was during the actual ad break. Either way, Schnitt is not treating Ron Paul with respect.

Todd trashes RP all the time, and refuses to take RP callers. You should try and talk to him sometime about there not being an income tax. Whoever paid for the ad needs to call the station and ask for an "air check" for that time. The station can pull the recording for that time. Then start hammering on the sales manager.

Todd Schnitt is an ass-clown, who claims to be independent, yet whenever a RP supporter calls, he detects where there going, and tells them to "go ahead, say it....say who you think would be the best presidential candidate." And when the caller says Ron Paul, he laughs and says, "Oh, we have another one, ladies and gentlemen. Another 'RON PAUL' whack-job supporter."

Then he conlcudes with name-calling and ending the call.

If this was on his show, I would say he has the right to say what he wants. If this was done over a paid-for commercial ad, then the campaign must raise hell.

I would expect this type of retarded behavior from Schnitt - what and ASS!!!

Fantastic- and btw the radio station in question was Tampa based 970 WFLA. Schnitt is an attention whore, even critical email makes his day- so try not to stroke his ego too much with email directed at him specifically

i used to listen to MJ aka TODD all the time. This guy is just doing it for the ratings TRUST ME.

He is on the AM station and I think we need to hannitize this fucker soon.

If he cares so much about his precious ratings, lets see what he thinks when we picket outside is fucking studio and start boycotting is advertisers.
