All right, cool. I'm glad I'm fairly high in anarcho-capitalism as well.

You Scored as Left-libertarian

Left-libertarians are libertarians that are more associated with the anti-authoritarian left than other libertarians. Left-libertarians can be minarchists, but many are anarchists who are in alliance with the anarchist left. Left-libertarians are more critical of conservatism and corporatism than most libertarians. They view libertarians in a hsitorical context that is interconnected with the history of the left.

Wow...I knew AnCapism was a major and growing influence here on these forums, but the results here surprise even me.

Here's the results of my quiz. Although, I've kind of considered myself as a mix between a minarchist and anarcho-capitalist.

The questions were pretty poorly worded. :P I'm an an-cap/agorist/libertarian according to the test, but I consider myself a voluntaryist.

At least in the meantime, immigration must be restricted.

The government should be limited to its proper role and size.

Ummm, I choose both!

Anyway, I picked the one that is more important to me, and got this...now I don't know which to select in the poll!

You Scored as Minarchist
Minarchists are libertarians who advocate a strictly limited government and usually a more decentralized form of it. Minarchists may vary in the degree to which they think that government should be limited, although the bare bones position is essentially nothing more than police, courts and the military. Minarchists tend to think that some minimum level of government is a necessary evil, or at least an inevitability. The contemporary libertarian movement in America is dominantly minarchist, although it has had a long history of dialogue and debate between minarchist and anarchist libertarians.

Well, since ancapism is the logical conclusion of libertarianism, minarchism and the unicorn of 'limited government'... if one has a thirst for knowledge and debate on such issues... I'd say a majority who are honest with themselves and in a quest for truth will naturally, ultimately, end up as ancaps.

"Yes, I know and acknowledge that the State is the most easily corruptible, most inefficient and wasteful, lowest quality and miserable customer service type of institution ever known to mankind - but we *must* grant it a legal monopoly on violent coercion and all other most important aspects of our society!!!"

No offense, 'Objectivists' / Randroids? Ayn Rand weeps.

Annnnnd... of course - something like this that ends up showing an increased or icnreasing base of support for anarcho-capitalism here in the RPF gets relegated to the Philosophy basement.

How arbitrary.

/sigh

How does this not belong in 'General Politics'? This is BS. No one is discussing Philosophy here. It's a poll, with a quiz, to identify one's form of libertarian politics, on a blatantly *libertarian forum*. Yet the other polls that are similar as such have not been moved to the Philosophy forum, hidden away from anyone visiting the site (where you must be a registered member in order to even *see* the Philosophy forum).

WTF? Comon, Admins - what's the logical explanation for this? I won't complain if you can logically defend such arbitrary treatment of such things on these forums.

As they say: What's the difference between a minarchist and an anarcho-capitalist? About 2 years.

btw, how can I be 100% ancap/agorist, but only 75% libertarian? Wtf is that supposed to mean?

I think it's safe to say that a good half or maybe even three-quarters of the An-Caps on RPF's (including myself) were not An-Caps two years ago. So yeah, I believe that adage has a definite kernel of truth to it.
