I think prostitution and cocaine should be decriminalized as well.

That doesn't mean that I'm in favor of people getting high on blow and chasing hookers.

I think that the perceived "benefit" to society of passing and enforcing malum prohibitum laws is far less than the damage done by the encroachment of government and loss of liberties into areas where it should have never been in the first place in order to enforce these "laws".

Therefore, I'll take my chances with freedom, warts and all, thank you.

Is it your contention that I should go to jail for saying, "I'll punch you in the nose for such and such"?

Or imminent, immediate harm to life, limb or property.

Saying you're going to stab me is not a crime.

Saying you're going to stab me, while clearly attempting to do so, with a weapon, is.

And that's not what I "believe", that is the law regarding any violent response to a perceived threat, pretty much anywhere in the country.

Any basic CCW class will teach you that.

Only verbal threats against our lords and masters in government warrant a prosecution for saying impolite things about them.

I've not read all his posts - gave up after the incessantly intransigent ridiculousness of his positions and possible troll-hood became clear. But unless he has transgressed in some truly egregious manner, I might question banishment. We talk a blue streak about liberty, live and let live, and all that. What does it say about us if we do no practice it?

I was on revleft.com for about two weeks, asking questions and challenging the assertions of the great Marxist revolutionaries there and got banned for it. I was always polite and never in any way unpleasant. What was posted about my banishment there was that the forum was for people of a like mind and that there was no tolerance for opposing opinions. Fucking morons. I would hate to see a forum such as this take a similar turn.

Can he be unbanished? If he has committed no offense other than obnoxiously pecking at a dead horse, he should be let return. After all, he puts it out and people respond. How is that not legitimate discourse?
