My intention is not to self-promote here, I was just wondering if any experienced bloggers would mind taking a quick look at my blog and giving me any advice / tips to improve it. I would really appreciate any constructive advice. Thanks! The address is www.benspera.com

Nice. I'm gonna do the ole compliment sandwich here.

Good content and interesting links.
The background is annoying and you have to scroll down too far before you get to the posts.
I like the logo and the layout.

your header says "Radical individualist, anarcho-capitalist rants..." but most of your external links are very un-radical, un-individualist, and un-anarcho-capitalist. (American Spectator, American Thinker, etc.) That is begging to be remedied. ;) Layout is pretty good, though. You might want to consider a serif font for the small text, tho. It's easier to read.

First thing I wanna ask is why is YAHOO trying to put a cookie on my computer as soon as I link to your site? The content makes no specific yahoo references, but I am gonna get tracked by YAHOO?

Host it somewhere else.

I love everything under "Welcome to my blog." Very clean, stylish and professional. Everything above, however, is an annoying flashy mess. The most negative thing is that you have to scroll down so far in order to get to any of the content.

That's probably for visitor statistics. I might be able to turn that off, I have to look at that.
