There are three ways of looking at the Q3 picture. The amount of "Money Raised" is a good indicator of support. The amount of "Cash on Hand" shows the liquid spending potential going forward. The amount of "Cash on Hand minus Debt" shows the bottom-line financial situation. Perry and Romney are (not surprisingly) 1st & 2nd in all categories. Ron Paul is a solid 3rd in all the calculation methods. I should also note, Bachman is above Cain in all the categories. Everyone else looks somewhat grim.
Below I assembled the breakdown for all ten candidates, ranked in order using the three categories mentioned above. I figured it would be good to have this all in one place.
[edit: Added "Money Spent" - just for fun.

[edit2: Adjusted Bachmann's numbers to account for her second campaign fund (yea, she has two) - Doesn't change anything.]

+rep!

Plus Paul has another million in his Congressional account if he needs it.
Yea, but that will likely be counted in Q4, assuming he transfers it in the next few months. Regardless, RP is a solid 3rd, even if the media keeps talking about the Cain Train (which in financial reality is 5th at best.)

I thought he already transferred that?
I believe RP transferred some of his Congressional Campaign fund, but not all yet. I'd have to look into it, but I think he had something like 2mil in there. I think he transferred $500 in Q2, and I know he transferred $500K in Q3. Maybe he is budgeting it, dumping a bit each quarter. Or maybe he will dump all the rest in on BTO, who knows.

Romney is definitely holding his money in the powder keg. I wonder what he is planning on spending that on down the line? Paul spent alot Q3 because part of our plan was to get ahead early, but it seems Perry and Romney really haven't spent much yet. Perry is done either way, but I am worried about Romney's 14 mil that he simply hasn't really touched.

These numbers highlight how much we need to raise a huge amount in this next money bomb. He may be a solid third place, but that's a very glass-is-half-full way of looking at these numbers.

Romney has more on hand than he received for the quarter, meaning he took in money last quarter faster than he could spend it and he's just stashing that all away for his blitzkrieg from December on.

Romney spent more than Ron last quarter.

Well, Romney did spend 12mil this quarter, which is roughly what he started the quarter with. That's why his "cash at hand" is so close to his "money raised." So it seems like he is spending quarter-by-quarter.

He only transferred $500 from other committees in Q2.

You know what, you are probably right. I was looking at the Q3 numbers without realizing that they may have still had cash in hand from Q2, so I assumed that all of the 14 M Romney had in the Cash on Hand was from what he made this quarter.

My mistake, lol. Math has never been my strong suit.

I think he may be saving it for donations to candidates he wants to win. If he doesn't win this election I'm betting he comes up with some sort of PAC. I can't see him dropping out of these issues, can you? And he can't use his Presidential campaign until he isn't running, of course., which will be too late to donate to people running in 2012, even if he doesn't get the nomination.

Great Point. I agree, he is probably keeping his options open in this regard.
