Pwned: "Do you have a degree in economics?"

Didn't you guys here though, he disagrees with this guy.

He MUST be wrong to disagree with the wise Fed Chairman.

Degrees in economics are degrees in bullshit. All that is taught out there is lame Keynesianism fantasy economics. I would have more respect for the guy if he said "No, I have real world experience and don't subscribe to the nonsense theory they are teaching in schools these days."

This. Absolutely.

It was a strawman-esque argument by her.

I'm all for stem cell research, but not federally-funded. Not a detraction, in my opinion--and even if he's against it across the board, it's certainly not my biggest issue with the government.

Yeah, definitely not the biggest issue with me either. It was just one of the few positions of his noted on Wikipedia, which is the only reason I brought it up. It wouldn't be a deal breaker in my support of a candidate.

Now it says

On July 20th, 2011, while debating the debt crisis on her MSNBC show with Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Brewer made a fool of herself according to many in the media and defended recent deficit spending saying; "We were looking at reverting into a depression at that point." Brooks said he disagreed, which prompted an agitated Brewer to inquire, "Do you have a degree in economics?" The Congressman replied "Yes ma'am, I do. Highest honors."[16] According to his Congressional web site, "Mo graduated from Duke University in three years with a double major in political science and economics, with highest honors in economics. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Alabama Law School."[17] After the interview, Brewer commented on her Facebook Page that she "just learned why lawyers are told never to ask a question they don't know the answer to"

This comment by her is quite revealing about her journalistic ethics and the general state of the media today.

She's the same one that yammered on about white people showing up at Tea Parties with guns, while editing the video of a black guy carrying a gun.

True for the most part. The big exceptions are the University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, University of Rochester, and University of Minnesota. Those are the four major econ departments in the country that don't teach Keynesianism.

Contessa Brewer went to J school, so she knows all about economics.

Isn't she the one who cut out the hands and face of the black guy carrying a gun at a rally in arizona? Claimed that the racial overtones against Obama were the reasons why people were showing up with guns at rally's. THE FREAKING GUY WAS BLACK!!! She cropped out his face and hands and then cut away to a white guy to fool all the folks that watch MSNBC.

Check out 3:40 when Contessa asked why blame Obama on the debt when Bush started the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and listen to Rep. Bo's response.

After reading that he was against the wars, he was almost on my list of good guys. He voted for the PATRIOT Act extension :~(

That was pure gold. Only wish he would have added "do you" at the end of that retort.

I dont have a Degree in Economics, but I get the 3rd Degree from my Unemployed Friends constantly about Economics!
