Someone here must have better contact information than just what's on the campiagn website. I'm concerned it won't get anywhere. Anyone here have contacts within the campaign to get this thing rolling? Whose a big shot on these forums? ;)

I helped with this last time but there were only about three people doing it. If there are five others who will help with this, I'll be the 6th. Otherwise, forget it. It was like pulling teeth and the promotion thread would often go up to a day with no kind of apparent activity with many of the final messages being simply "bump".

It doesn't take "everyone"... just a few people really. But every person involved makes a huge difference.

I'm no computer geek so please add to the list what we need and who can do what. I've done some brief videos but I'm God awful slow. I already have a concept and an AMAZING song I discovered. If there's someone else who can take my ideas and put it all together faster than me, we could at least get the video rolling.

Here is what I think is needed at a minimum to make it a success:
6 people to promote the website (anybody can do this)
1 Person to design the graphics
1 Person to design the video
1 Person to design the website
1 Person to manage the website
I'm not sure why you think a writer is needed.

I'll be the 6th person to promote the website and will begin when five others agree to help with that. I'll also volunteer my PHP & Javascript skills to help manage the email list and website. It looks like you've volunteered to help with a video. All I would think you would need is a graphics artist to help you with that. Between the two of us that is 3 of ten positions.

After the website is up, I'll be happy to contact the campaign to get them to promote the money bomb. Until a website is up they are likely not going to lend their support. Maybe the person who managed the NOBP site can supply code for a similar website. I went to their website but their old code is gone and all thats left is an "under construction" sign for a "swag shop".
 
One good viral YouTube would go a long way to kick starting this thing.

Then of course contacting all the meetups and Facebook groups repeatedly.
 
I've donated, but never volunteered my time or services in past money bombs. I wouldn't know how to go about putting all this together but if I can help in any way I will. I work with websites for a living.

I support this money bomb, though I can't help out with promotion this time. If you want to use anything from my huge promotion threads, go ahead and check out my started threads. I did promotion threads for Black This Out, 11.11.11, Tea Party 11 and No One But Paul. Take anything you need to set this up.
 
Bad idea giving people a reason to wait for 2 weeks before donating. They need money NOW for the states/territories that that actually have a shot at winning before then. Money Bomb are for publicity, not for raising money since all it does is concentrates the donations on one day. And lately, money bombs have been getting the wrong KIND of publicity.

If they don't win at least one of the territories tomorrow, this money bomb could bring in $50 billion and it won't help Ron Paul get elected.

Money bombs are notorious for taking away donations in the period leading up to it, and directly after it. Not to mention, if it IS more 3rd and 4th place showing, this money bomb will be embarrassing to the campaign. A couple hundred thousand bucks at most. So really, this money bomb is dependent on something (Paul winning some time in the next 2 weeks) that the money bomb will make more difficult to occur (since it delays donations that are desperately needed.)

You will also have a hard time getting all but the most rabid Paul fans to donate (and they have likely maxxed already) by then since all that is left are primaries, and all in states that are VERY favorable to one of the other three candidates. (And many are winner take all) Not every Ron Paul supporter is going to throw good money after bad because they simply can't afford to send money to a losing cause. This happened 4 years ago. After Super Tuesday, the casual fanbase (which yes...even for Paul represents the majority) stopped sending money.


Barrex....most people don't sign up to internet forums with their real address. Compiling a database of e-mails from sites like this or DP will result in a lot of e-mails being sent to accounts that haven't been checked since 2 minutes after it was activated.

So...

What happened? We have 9 days after tonight. We may have to promote this and set the actual donation time a few days (or more) past the 23rd.
 
I don't know if this has been posted before, but a video like this could be perfect for the campaign.

 
The campaign just endorsed this Moneybomb on Facebook!!

"The grassroots are planning a very important Money Bomb on March 23. Please mark your calanders and consider chipping in. We need to raise a chunk of cash so we can start mail, voter ID and advetiseing in big late primaries like Texas and California."

Where are our usual designers and what not? Let's get this ball moving. We have the theme: Patrick Henry and "Give me Liberty, or Give me death!"

We have little time to plan and prepare, so, keep it simple. The campaign is in need of quick cash. So, let's set the goal for $500,000 or $750,000.

Have RPF and Ron and Rand's campaigns send out emails to everyone saying the race is still on.
