Prodigy Of Mobb Deep Speaks On Ron Paul

We are united in the message of liberty. Revolution9 has the right to his opinion and seems he is basing it on his personal experience. The people who love hip-hop and other music styles have a right to their opinion as well and is also based on their personal tastes and experiences. Let's focus on what brings us together, the message of liberty and the Constitution that formed this great nation. Constantly battling back and forth is not going to change anyones mind in this thread. Let's get back to talking about the real enemies we face that are a threat to all of us.

Say.....I'm half black and I'm not offended by Randy's posts.

Randy is alot of things...but a racist isn't one of them. You ppl need to chill out. I'll break it down for you: to make a long story short....hip hop is dead. The crap they're coming out with nowadays is horrid and redundant. The man is saying if there was some actual creative drive and intelligent lyrics to hip hop...he wouldn't mind it. Bottom line. Hip Hop is dead. If you want to listen to hip hop with lyrics that actually make you think...trust, it's nothing they're playing on the radio or MTV right now. It's all underground. Leave Randy alone. He can express whatever he wants. Ya'll just have a prob because he's not sugarcoating his opinions.

In response to the thread....I'm lovin' this vid. Prodigy has mad skills and is an intelligent guy.

And werd...take a cue from the ronpaulbillboards brother. He's 100% correct.

Q: What do a 72 year old white obstetrician and a 33 year old black rapper have in common?
A: Love of Freedom.

Q: Who's bringing it real?
A: Ron Paul

Exactly.. And i do not like the local scene and what it is doing to my neighborhood. They are bringing criminal behaviour and threatening atttudes to the table. They care about skin color and call us whitey and cracker. I stand on my back porch and listen t othem talk n the alley while getting drunk about kicking the white boys asses and the cracker motherfuckers. So I am expected to endure this in silence due to political correctness. I have made pals with some of the younger ones and frankly..they don;t like being in the lifestyle they are in. They would like to not have to be all tough and in your face. They just want to get along. The other clowns fuck it up and are causing a problem between groups in the neighborhood.

The guy who spoke informedly has my respect. His presence onstage at the march would be anomalous and cause problems. This is not my opinion but a fact. There are Republicans here worried about long hair and jeans. This would put them through the roof and ensure no support. From there it got out of hand and here it s now.

Allow me to make one distinction here. I can tolerate more advanced hip hop with actual ornamentation and attempts at singing and lyrical content are exhibited..but you will never ever hear me say anything nice about rap. Unfortunately that is what is coming out of the club and headshop and cars cruising the parking lot.

your hate speech is what breeds contempt between the races. Why not give a man his due. Instead of embracing what he says you decide to stereotype everyone around him. Shame on you. Your ignorance and bias is exactly part of the problem, not the solution.

Can i humbly suggest we move this thread to hot topics and start a new Mobb Deep thread? Because this thread sucks. For serious.

But Mobb Deep rocked that interview, despite the dude trying to sway him off topic the entire time. He's amazing.

Having (unfortunately) read through this entire thread... I would like to simply mention that where I come from 'monkey' is almost as derogative as (as in, practically synonymous with) another certain word that I shall not mention. For that reason, I understand the backlash, though this (awful) usage might be regional.

Tangentially, I for one would welcome conscious hip hop including some of the names mentioned earlier to the stage. There are gonna be multiple stages, right?

Everybody has their eyes opened in different ways. Some read a book, some stared at the sun, some listened to Ron Paul, some listened to John Lennon, Dylan, or Mos Def.

We all got here from different paths. Words are powerful. No need to clash on them when we're all pushing forward the same message of freedom.
