Prodigy Of Mobb Deep Speaks On Ron Paul

The local black elders with whom I hold great mutual respect feel the same way jackass. Take your race card canard and shove t. This is not about race but a miasmatic movement n musical culture. These clowns are not even musicians. They steal from real musicians and rap their low level ego trip over it. Most of them do not even have any stage moves beyond the stupid hand gestures. . Being a real musician I am offended by their theft and reroutng of the original tunes. The club behind me that plays monotonous beats all night dpesn;t help my attitude about ths very much..notr the cobstant bass rattling of cars going through the paring lot. I don't want to hear their drivel and pimptalk.

Randy

Dude, please stop attacking a music style. You are making a fool of yourself. If you where a real musician you wouldn't talk shit like this. If you don't like Hip-Hop, well, that's fine. Just shut up already......

And if you don't like cars on the parking lot with the stereo blasting, or you are living near a club with "monotonous" beats, maybe it's time to move.....

.

thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i agree 100%

im a huge fan of dead prez mos def talib WUTANG!!! these people are educators....the gov will not allow their message to be heard....these people are true hip hop artists!!!

mos def true meaning number 7 dolla day....song about katrina and our wonderful president.....

Maybe they should learn how to spell..heh.. I ain't impressed. Rock bands had this down in the 60's and folk singers were doing their protest schtick back in the 30's.. The government is bad. and fucked up katrina .woo woo. what an edumacation they gave me. You youngsters think you found the holy grail of something brand fucking new..haha! been there done that.. Now i do this. If rap and hip hop are so politically conscious and educating then why are the majority of the rap and hip hop culture, with a few exceptions doing the Obama thing.

Is rap and hip hop politically conscious for a cowboy on a ranch? Or do you have to be in the inner city and downtrodden..heh. Gmme a break. Never enlightened me to one thing. It is all around me though I wish it wasn't or they would learn to sing or play a instrument and at least three chords. They talk over top of beats.. big deal.

I am dealing with a barrage of insults and offbase crap. i will defend my position and deal with them in like and kind. I wasn;'t brought up in America and i do not tread lightly on broken glass about this. I ain't racist and have no white guilt like i am expected to have in america. I am in the middle of this stuff n the heart of Atlanta and i will vent if these clowns want to keep pushing it. The club behind me is severely contributing to my horrible attitude. I should not have to be forced to listen to this and this is where my particular offensive attitude is derived from. the people who push this style of music in my backyard have no respect for others space. Furthermore there are now coke dealers on the streets. This crap is bringing it nto the neighborhood. A few have threatened me as well. Don;t give me this peace and shining political consciouness it causes drumbeat. I see cussing through the music going into the young mothers ad childrens ears and folks cringing walking by the headshop, misogyny and drug dealing on the streets combined with threatening postures and attitudes. The headshop owner runs the club 200 feet from my back door.

Yeah call me pissed at this cultures lack of respect for a neighborhood it invaded. this is a residential neighborhood of families. it has a strip of cool clothes shops so these clowns think they are gonna turn it into a open air drug market and the theme music is rap hip hop. We don't get this disrespect from the rock and rollers.

One final note after rereading your post. I should move from somewhere i have lived 22 years to accommodate this????!!??.. My neighborhood is invaded by the ghetto blasters two mlies up the road and I should move??What the fuck are you drinking. I will never knuckle under to criminals. The are running coke out of this joint. I will shut them down like a few other denizens of thugs I have taken out around here to make this a respectable neighborhood my grandchildren can grow up in. And the women and children can walk freely in without being subjected to ill manners and vile language. call me a real conservative..but that is how i view it.

Furthermore some of these fucks shot a bartender in the face three months back about a block from me. The guy died two days later.. the partner of the murderer jumped me because i told him to stop calling me bottiman and faggot. I kicked his ass in seven seconds.. but still why should i have to. this is my neighborhood.

Yer an idiot. This ain't uptown NY at the march. I despise rap and hip hop. I love metal and hard rock, baroque, gypsy, russian folk.. But I do not think this venue should be a wall of knockdown guitars nor do I think a bunch of rap/hip hop goons should be prowling the stage with monkey gestures and pants down their butt crack. There is going to be Grandma and the children there. WQe are harking to American Tradition here. Old blues would be much more appropriate. and perhpas some New Orleans ragtime.. Rap? No effing way.. I will throw tomatoes.

This isn't your fucking movement, it's everybody's movement. I DESPISE country music but don't mind at all listening to a Ron Paul country song because it's Ron Paul. If you can't appreciate diversity you're truly not a revolutionary. You and your "monkey gesture' comment and GTFO. Go head bang in some corner you retard.

Prodigy is completely right and that's the same thing I tell everyone I see arguing about petty things in politics.

This movement is about bringing in people from all walks of life, be it those in the inner city or those out in the country.

Wow.. how did this shit get so far off base?

Love it or hate it (whatever particular music genre) it's refreshing to see a fellow American not buying into the media bs... and furthermore, making a point to bring up Ron Paul specifically, while at the same time backing up his position by stating the obvious truth that so many people overlook.

It's about "what you bring to the table" not skin color, popularity, electability etc..

You misspelled "trailer".. trash. BTW.. I simply stated t was not a good act to stage at the march. It ain't. You will tun off a majority of conservative republicans and invite ridicule from the conservative press. That is the bottom line. The rest s a plle-on including your spew and i never back down from a bunch of loud mouthed reprobates whose only arguments amount to pure canard and misdirection.. nor a bunch of threatening gang bangers like have appeared in conjunction with the rap hip hop club behind me.

After reading this post I urge you even more to move out of that neighborhood, and get the hell out of Atlanta. United States is a big country and it have some beautiful places far away from the ghetto you describe. Come to the Southwest, it's one of the most beautiful and peaceful places on earth. It's pretty cheep to live here too, and the people are very down to earth. Driving 10 minutes out of my town where I live I can have total silence with fantastic mountains and a majestic blue sky as a backdrop. I grew up in Chicago so I have seen my fair share of ghetto and violence. But since moving to southwest, the whole desert is my neighborhood, and I don't ever look back or miss Chi-town. If you care about your grandchildren, get out from where you are now and settle down where you can give them a wonderful future and respect for life and nature. It's not about being a hero, it's about common sense.........

Exactly.. And i do not like the local scene and what it is doing to my neighborhood. They are bringing criminal behaviour and threatening atttudes to the table. They care about skin color and call us whitey and cracker. I stand on my back porch and listen t othem talk n the alley while getting drunk about kicking the white boys asses and the cracker motherfuckers. So I am expected to endure this in silence due to political correctness. I have made pals with some of the younger ones and frankly..they don;t like being in the lifestyle they are in. They would like to not have to be all tough and in your face. They just want to get along. The other clowns fuck it up and are causing a problem between groups in the neighborhood.

The guy who spoke informedly has my respect. His presence onstage at the march would be anomalous and cause problems. This is not my opinion but a fact. There are Republicans here worried about long hair and jeans. This would put them through the roof and ensure no support. From there it got out of hand and here it s now.

Allow me to make one distinction here. I can tolerate more advanced hip hop with actual ornamentation and attempts at singing and lyrical content are exhibited..but you will never ever hear me say anything nice about rap. Unfortunately that is what is coming out of the club and headshop and cars cruising the parking lot.

Randy

Wow, that's great!

I'm not a fan of rap at all, but this man is a true Patriot and that is enough for me to look into Mobb Deep's music now.

Sir. I would like to move due to this and have seriously rolled it over. However my son lives here and all my friends of 25+ years. I shut down one drug hole last year and it reopened as a childrens music lesson school. As well I am closely involved with running one of my good pals for Congress here.. My art agent is here.. My son will not be moving as he has a great career running one of Atlanta's top law firms. So..unless i want to abandon proximity to those who mean the most to me i am stuck and will have to shut this operation down like he other one. Wish it weren't so..but I have tried talking and they tell me "people need to party man" This is at 2:30 on a Thursday night when i was awakened by the constant beat and decidied to go and ask them to turn it down. Nice guys.

I hear you. I was just giving some advice, no hard feelings.......

What has a song about Ron Paul got to do with this? There isn't one mentioned. Got any more canards you want to add? BTW.. According to the way these guys piled on about having a negative opinion about hip hop.. I would think people would be piling on about your statement about despising country music. But they aren't..could be they are not rabid and do not care that people do not like it and express their distaste. However, the rap hip hop crew takes their whole shebang as some sacred cow. It seems to carry immense weight when someone weighs in with an opinion opposed and can make concrete statements as to why. Then they use all the fake canards and gambits they can pull out of their asses.. Racist? haha fucking no. Trailertrash..haha..I can kick any one of their asses i a gambit of lexiconographic street corner dozens or a discourse on plasma physics.. I can cut the heads off of any one of their musical heroes in composition skills and dexterity on my instrument.

But ya know what.. It disturbs them when I tell them I am a badass yet they will listen to some near talentless drooldonkey spout off what a big pimp daddy he is and swallow it hook, lie and sinker, poison pill and all. They lose this game.

Best Regards
Randy

I have no hard feelings to anyone on this thread. I ain;t gunning for their heads or anything. This was a discussion about what this was about. it was not a careful whisper. It was the stark reality that faces me daily and the soundtrack backing it up. I ain't the only one n this fix that don't like it. Frankly what I say has already been said by Great Elders of the Black Community such as Bill Cosby. He was my favorite comedian as a kid. My super-conservative drill sargeant war hero dad had all his records. You did not dare say fuck or cuss around my father or you may lose your head to a severe cuffing. Only men in foxholes should cuss.

Best Regards

We are united in the message of liberty. Revolution9 has the right to his opinion and seems he is basing it on his personal experience. The people who love hip-hop and other music styles have a right to their opinion as well and is also based on their personal tastes and experiences. Let's focus on what brings us together, the message of liberty and the Constitution that formed this great nation. Constantly battling back and forth is not going to change anyones mind in this thread. Let's get back to talking about the real enemies we face that are a threat to all of us.

Prodigy is a highly regarded and respected member of the hip hop community. I am a fan on Mobb Deep so to me, this is such an awesome thing.

If you don't agree with the music, at least respect it for it's entertainment value. I don't agree with a lot of the topics of today's music but that doesn't necessarily mean I don't enjoy listening to it... nor do I write it off as garbage.

Good for Prodigy.
