Problems are reported with the Washoe County results of the Nevada GOP presidential caucus

I'm not sure those where the ones the Washoe county GOP was saying were right, the article says those are the 'official' ones, and the official ones are the ones out of the NVGOP on google. I THINK the article is saying Washoe thinks the official ones are not correct - but doesn't give what they think is right.

But obviously, that is just my interpretation.

+1

Sorry no link, thanks for those who googled. Wish I obsessed over my own threads a bit more, I was off picking my nose while you all were freaking out.

I updated the OP - that article is the only information I have.

He's reporting the official numbers in that article. State GOP has corrected it to those numbers. Nothing to see here, people.

for all we know the new numbers will hurt, not help Ron....

still, accurate numbers are the ones we want, always.

But what does official mean? If the GOP reported the wrong numbers, they'd be called official. Then if they were changed, the new ones would be official.

I'd argue it's more likely, if you are correct - that the author would write the article about how the numbers changed and speculate on why they were reported incorrectly.

Umm no. He reported his numbers to AP which hasn't published them yet. The NV GOP has the Official numbers and they are wrong.

The endless stream of bad journalism... Writers can't express anything with clarity and the public stays off-balance, never knowing what the facts are.

Umm, yeah I would say there are problems with Washoe's vote count--the entrance polls say Newt beat Paul by 4% in Washoe, and yet the results say Newt beat Paul by 11%!!?!?!

Entrance polls are not supposed to be that far off.

Unless it is Ron Paul.

Notice how Ron Paul never polls higher than his exit polling! It would be a hoot if the last county to report have him polling higher than exit polling...

I can only verify what I saw. And I did not see any major problems counting. However, if the story has any credibility, this could be a problem and needs to be watched.

/nevermind. a couple people already said it.

They just changed Washoe County. The new numbers are:

Romney 42%
Gingrich 28%
Paul 18%
Santorum 12%

So Paul gained 1%. Still doesn't sound right, compared to entrance polls.

I wonder if those are really Dave Buell's numbers?

Probably just a glitch or something, but a few minutes ago when I checked the nvgopcaucus.com results they had Gingrich as the winner in Washoe County with 49% & over 6000 votes there, Santorum in 2nd, Paul in 3rd, and Mitt Romney DEAD LAST with 9%. It's changed back to the other results now though. Weird. Wish I had taken a screenshot...

Did anyone see when it looked like this a few minutes ago? I almost had a heart attack!

I'm assuming it was because they were updating Washoe County's numbers again.

Good grief.
