Pro-Rand Paul Super PAC attacks Jeb ‘Bailout Bush’

The great unpolled masses are newly 18 or former obama voters who don't particularly identify with a party. Same old ads will do nothing for these folks. These ads don't blow me away, but we're all guessing at who will see them and what effect they will have. The effect the ad had on me is, Jeb is a joke.

and why are we spending money targeting the under 18 crowd instead of pandering to 65+ ? You know, people who actually vote ?

I dunno guys I only watched it once but it drives the message out pretty good. Bailout Bush- it just rolls off the tongue I cant even unhear it. I hope they play this a million times like so everyone hears it when they hear Bush's name. Kind of like that one guy who said Bitch Mcconnell in a video and now i hear it every time someone says his name now.

okay that was incredibly asinine.

poltical ads are all about emotion unfortunately.. ads must strike an emotional chord and focus on important issues and/or why rand paul is an ideal candidate.

Ad idea

What if instead of targeting 18yo crowd directly, we could make them reconnect with their grandparents.

Call your grandparents and ask them. Was the government spying on you as much as they are spying now ?

So he makes an ad targeted towards young people and viral attention about a candidate that only old people will vote for? Does this ad resonate with the Chamber of Commerce and country club types?

It's a complete mismatch.

Seems like that's true to me. I am thinking there might be value to the Bailout Bush meme, that the ad may be effective at arming anyone who is against Jeb for any reason with a soundbyte and an angle of attack. That's brightside thinking.

It's obvious that this PAC views the voting public with disdain.

Listen, Benton... Better hope they don't catch on. If they do, be prepared for the blowback.

it might still be logical to target this ad at youth voters.
Bush is a very easy target with them. its preaching to the choir in a sense but if the choir helps spread the "bailout Bush" meme and this video or others go viral it makes sense.

even if the older voters still like him ( and lets be honest... regardless of what ads they see the majority will still go with whatever candidate O'reilly pumped up on his show the evening before) it's still good for Bush to be the cool guy to hate by everyone else.

it's possible the conservative voters are waiting for someone to go after him like how Santorum went after Romney.

perhaps the perception of being the candidate who will attack Hillary AND Bush has value.
( and the attacks seem to "resonate" because they're targeted towards the "choir" thus making Rand seem more of a threat to Bush than would be otherwise.)

it really seems like this will be a race to be the anti Bush candidate.
right now Walker is in the lead.

Personally I think this ad is pretty creative. I was engaged, and I learned a lot while also being entertained. Not only that, but they back up the claims. Genius, imo.

Does anybody know what his wife thinks about these ads ? She's the only reason he has this job so it should be ok to ask her.

The ad isn't great, but at least it's going after the right person this time. Still can't get over that dumb Canadian Cruz bit from one of the earlier ads by this PAC.
