Prevent Unconstitutional Wars: Get US Out! of NATO

Alert Summary

NATO is a UN-subservient alliance that threatens U.S. national sovereignty. It is imperative that Congress follow the advice of the Founding Fathers and withdraw the U.S. from this entangling alliance.

URGENT: What may have been a Russian-made S-300 missile — apparently accidentally fired by Ukraine — landed in Poland, killing two people. This illustrates how close we are to being dragged into a major, possibly even nuclear, war in Europe. Contact your U.S. representative and senators and tell them to follow the advice of the Founding Fathers by withdrawing from NATO and every other entangling alliance.

Immediately following the incident, NATO members and allies, along with the media, assumed it had been a Russian attack. The U.S. declared it would “defend every inch of NATO territory,” and Poland called a meeting under Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty. In a video address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “Hitting NATO territory with missiles. … This is a Russian missile attack on collective security! This is a really significant escalation. Action is needed.”

However, it was later found that the missile most likely was fired by Ukraine forces, contrary to what Zelensky claimed. The following day, Polish President Andrzej Duda admitted the missile strike was most likely an accident. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also admitted the missile was Ukrainian, though he also stated that “Russia bears ultimate responsibility.” In fact, the U.S. government had been engaged in a clandestine operation in which it sent Soviet military equipment to Ukraine.

This incident shows how close the United States is to entering into a hot war in Europe — thanks to our entangling and unconstitutional alliance in NATO. And it would not be the first time the Deep State used a false flag attack to entangle the U.S. in a foreign conflict. Congress must not allow this to fool them into further increase U.S. involvement in Ukraine!

Furthermore, U.S. leadership favors foreign intervention and fealty to NATO and other international organizations. In March, U.S. President Joe Biden stated, “We take Article 5 as a sacred commitment, not a throwaway, a sacred commitment that relates to every member of NATO.” And later at his gaffe-filled speech, he stated, “We have a sacred obligation under Article 5 to defend each and every inch of NATO territory.” Biden also made several concerning statements, calling for regime change in Russia and suggesting that the U.S. would send, or had already sent, troops into Ukraine. In other words, Biden pledged U.S. fealty to NATO at the expense of the U.S. Constitution and national sovereignty.

Biden’s actions match his words. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. has sent over 20,000 troops to Europe (the total number of troops now surpasses 100,000). Until February, troops from Florida’s National Guard even had been inside Ukraine. These troop deployments to Eastern Europe greatly increase the potential for creating a pretext to drag the United States into yet another undeclared and unconstitutional war overseas.

Furthermore, Congress has appropriated $65 billion for Ukraine since the invasion, and it could pass even more funding. Biden also expanded U.S. policy justifications for initiating a nuclear attack.

At the heart of the conflict is the Deep State and Biden administration’s desire to further expand the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) eastward, extending membership to Ukraine — a country that borders Russia and was previously a Soviet socialist republic that comprised part of the U.S.S.R. from 1919 to 1991. Because of the invasion, Sweden and Finland are in the process of joining NATO.

However, rather expanding NATO, the U.S. should withdraw from it. The U.S. currently contributes about 22 percent of the NATO budget — the largest share of any NATO country, meaning that U.S. taxpayers foot a large chunk of the bill for Europe’s defense.

[h=4]NATO’s Threat to National Sovereignty[/h]

NATO was originally founded in 1949 as a collective-security alliance between the United States, Canada, Denmark, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Norway, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Belgium, France, Portugal, and Italy. It was established on the basis of countering the Soviet Union and its captive communist satellite nations. The NATO military alliance is cemented in Article 5 of the founding North Atlantic Treaty, which states in part:

The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.

Ultimately, however, NATO is a regional arrangement under the auspices of the United Nations. Article 52, Section 1, of Chapter VIII of the UN Charter states:

Nothing in the present Charter precludes the existence of regional arrangements or agencies for dealing with such matters relating to the maintenance of international peace and security as are appropriate for regional action provided that such arrangements or agencies and their activities are consistent with the Purposes and Principles of the United Nations. (Emphasis added).

In other words, under the charter, the UN allows its member nations to form regional arrangements so long as they are consistent with the “Purposes and Principles of the United Nations.” Furthermore, Article 53, Section 1, of Chapter VIII of the UN Charter states, “The Security Council shall, where appropriate, utilize such regional arrangements or agencies for enforcement action under its authority.”

The UN Security Council, which includes non-NATO countries like Communist China and Russia — which NATO is ostensibly designed to defend Western Europe from and is currently at odds with over Ukraine — can use regional arrangements such as NATO to enforce UN Security Council resolutions. And if that wasn’t enough, Article 54 of Chapter VIII of the UN Charter further mandates that: “The Security Council shall at all times be kept fully informed of activities undertaken or in contemplation under regional arrangements or by regional agencies for the maintenance of international peace and security.” In other words, both Russia and Communist China are kept aware of NATO’s activities.

NATO is nothing more than an armed extension of the globalist United Nations. Article 1 of the North Atlantic Treaty reaffirms NATO’s subservience to the UN, stating:

The Parties undertake, as set forth in the Charter of the United Nations, to settle any international dispute in which they may be involved by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace and security and justice are not endangered, and to refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force in any manner inconsistent with the purposes of the United Nations.

Ultimately, NATO serves the purposes of the United Nations. A UN Security Council resolution can authorize the use of force and use NATO as its instrument of enforcement, thereby calling American troops and forces to combat anywhere around the world without a congressional declaration of war or the consent of the American people through their elected representatives in Congress.

Likewise, Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty affirms “that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all…” This means that if, say, Montenegro or any other NATO member is attacked, it is to be regarded in the same manner as an attack against the United States.

As a result, the U.S. Armed Forces can likewise be called to action in the defense of that country. This clause also has the capability of dragging the United States into a war — possibly even a world war — as some are currently predicting regarding the U.S.-Russia stalemate over Ukraine. NATO increases the likelihood of entangling the U.S. into a regional, or world war, without even a congressional declaration of war.

Another infringement on U.S. sovereignty by NATO is its Status of Forces Agreement. U.S. servicemen and their families stationed in NATO countries are not under U.S. jurisdiction. Rather, they are subject to the courts and laws of the foreign country hosting them.

The Status of Forces Agreement of the NATO Pact places members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their civilian component under the jurisdiction of those foreign courts and laws.

Through NATO, the American taxpayer foots the bill for Europe’s defense, even risking the possibility of being dragged into war, meanwhile it places those American servicemen and their families in Europe under their foreign courts and laws. As for NATO itself, it is ostensibly designed to protect Europe from one of the very countries that is informed about all of its activities and that can determine whether it is used for enforcement action through the United Nations Security Council.

This is virtually analogous to stating that the main purpose of a city’s local police department is to protect its residents from a city councilman’s seat!

NATO does not serve the American people or U.S. national security. Instead, it serves the United Nations to carry out its goals of bringing about a collectivist New World Order.

The United States should heed the wisdom of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and withdraw from this permanent and entangling alliance. Rather than concerning itself with the defense and borders of Ukraine or those of a NATO member country, Congress and the White House should prioritize the U.S.’s own national defense and southern border with Mexico.

Tell your U.S. representative and senators to put start putting America first by pulling out of international entangling alliances such as NATO.

It shouldn't just be that the US gets out of NATO. The whole thing needs to be disbanded as there is no longer a reason for NATO to still exist.

Trump should have moved on that as soon as he was elected. At that time, NATO was weak, members were't paying their required of GDP and no big war was going on to justify their continued existence. The situation in Ukraine has breathed new life into that beast and it's puffed up now and full of itself. Trump blew it. I'm not sure he could have done it, though, but he backed off, never tried, and just harangued the other member nations to pay up.

The purpose of NATO, according to it's first Secretary General, was to keep the Americans in, the Russians out and Germany down. It has certainly done that with Germany, right down to blowing up Nordstream. Poland is the US's new bitch and they're loving it. Poland is trouble.
