President Trump fires FBI Director James Comey

So this is all about/over RT? This is a serious question. I haven't really been paying attention as it sounded like a crock of shit to me.

Ya and they want to investigate all of the business dealings between Trump, his associates and Russia so they can make up a narrative about how they got paid.

The scope goes beyond interference, the focus in the Senate hearings seems to be on business relationships.

As an international businessman I would expect him to have business dealings with Russian businesses. How did these business dealings affect the outcome of the election?

That's not what they're looking at. They're looking for evidence of quid pro quo, specifically connected to the campaign.

Still doesn't make much sense to me. So the claim is that in return for concessions, that which a POTUS could give, the Russians set up a internet media channel which supported him?

The claim is the campaign brought on individuals who either had a financial interest in certain policies regarding foreign countries, or were compromised to the extent they could be used to advocate for and affect those policies.

That's describes pretty much everybody in every campaign. Ever.

That's why Trump should have just fired Comey on day 1, it would have been a non-issue. The press probably wouldn't have even given it more than a couple days coverage, because they were busy arguing with him about inauguration crowds. He fired Sally Yates on the same day she refused to enforce the Muslim ban. He fired most of the State Dept. Whatever opposition to firing Comey at that time would be nothing compared to the other firings.

Ya except Trump is smart. If he fired Comey on day one, they would have held that over his head when the Russian stuff came up, they would have said he fired Comey so he wouldn't be investigated. Instead he gave him over 3 months, they came up with ZERO evidence and Comey stated three times Trump wasn't under investigation. That way anybody who claims he fired him to protect himself, rather than firing him to get a more effective director, would be seen as kinda looney.

What I'm hearing from the left now is that the FBI was "days" away from finding SOME evidence that Trump's team was involved with Russia. Um, how the fuck would they know that? Sounds like a baseless theory. But if that's the case, then that evidence should still be found. It's not like the FBI turns off the lights and goes home when the Director gets fired. They are still working, still investigating. But you know what they are going to find? Nothing.

From the sound of it he should have.

Comey had negative approval across the board, probably one of the few people who were lower than Trump. He could have fired him on inauguration day, said a few words about healing the nation and given his early presidency a much-needed boost of support.

Ya that is expected but it makes them look crazy, Trump gave them three months and they still came up with nothing, sensible people are asking "Where's the beef??" The media has been going at it for months and not provided a shred of evidence.

I gotta agree with this. The Dems hated Comey at that point for his investigation into her server. It wouldn't have given him a ratings boost, but it would have been lost in the mix condemnations of the new administration.

I listened to it and I couldn't tell if they were serious or pulling my legs. Did Alex Jones just allow that Mike guy to continue to talk after he said those people at the agents at the FBI have a good reputation (something like that). Alex Jones is supposed to be the same guy who raised a lot of hell with the FBI after the Okhlahoma bombing. These people think the agents at the FBI are good people and its just the admin who is corrupt.
