Presidency 5

I am on the meet up group here and no one has answered me about being a delegate :( but yes I am trying. I just found a hotel for a descent price especially if I could share it with someone. My biggest concern is finding another woman delegate to share a room/carpool with as my hubby is not too keen on letting me travel alone with an unknown male or sharing a room with one, if you know what I mean.

What specific meetup group are you in? The Jacksonville meetup has a female organizer who I beleive is going. What and how have you actually done?

CPAC-FL is scheduled for next Friday, September 23rd in Orlando, FL in conjunction with Presidency 5. Unlike CPAC in DC there seems to be no C4L involvement and most of the breakout sessions are missing our message.

CPAC-FL Agenda

For Example - Check out these Breakout Sessions:

Panel Discussion: Defending Defense vs. Isolationism: What is the Price of Freedom in the 21st Century?

• Jim Talent, The Heritage Foundation, Distinguished Fellow and former U.S. Senator (R-MO)
• Donald Devine, Ph.D., American Conservative Union,Vice Chairman
• Bill Kristol, The Weekly Standard, Editor

or

Panel Discussion: Recruiting the Next Generation of Conservative Activists: Are Youth Awakening from an Obama Hangover?

• Francisco Gonzalez, James Madison Institute, Director of Development (Moderator)
• Patrick Coyle, Young America’s Foundation, Vice President
• Harold Hedrick, Florida Federation of College Republicans, Chairman
• Jeffery Nelson, Intercollegiate Studies Institute, Executive Vice President
• Peret Pass, Florida Federation of Young Republicans, Chair
• Alex Schriver, College Republican National Committee, National Chairman

I am attending Presidency 5 as a Delegate and have decided to attend CPACFL as well. I would encourage Ron Paul supporters to attend CPAC-FL in order to provide some balance. We must be seen as a growing segment of the Republican Party / Conservative Movement.

If you pair up with someone you can register for $40 - Register Here

I am in the Jacksonville Ron Paul Meet up and the Campaign for Liberty Meet up and I messaged the organizer and got no response and I put it on the campaign for liberty discussion form. I still have not heard back from anyone on either meet up.

I have paid for my delegate ticket and I had to go ahead and reserve a hotel room because rooms are selling out fast. I am very appreciative to the two Ron Paul supporters who have already donated to getting me to P5 this week. I pray I find the funds to pay for the rest of my trip, Ron Paul needs supporters at P5 and I plan on getting there even if I have to walk!

That's by design. A new gang is in charge at CPAC and they don't like us.

Just got a call from the Perry campaign asking for my vote at P5...I just LOVE telling them I am voting for Ron Paul...they bumble all over themselves...lol

Hadn't actually seen the requirement about "in the state of Florida" anywhere, but since it's been posted and reposted I won't bother going to this thing. It's a pay-to-play thing that probably won't get much publicity unless someone ELSE wins :p

I disagree Melissa...if nothing else just come to hold signs because if I know one thing...it has to be pretty intimidating for the other candidates to see so much support for Ron Paul...I mean think about it...so much so that the Texas straw poll was canceled. The message is resonating and this has to continue so yes as far as actually voting...maybe we cannot win that part...but as far as just letting Ron know that no matter what we are there to support him EVERY step of the way I think sends many messages...but most importantly maybe the message Ron himself takes from it to walk with confidence knowing we are there for him.

Come over to http://socialmediamarch.org and connect with us. We are in Tallahassee and will be there this weekend from Thursday to Sunday. We are actually meeting with someone from Ron's official campaign to see what we can do socially to help. We will have some signs to hand out too I hope. We ordered them and they are supposed to arrive before we leave...

We will be there as well. Please connect with us over at our site http://socialmediamarch.org so we can coordinate. We should have some signs to provide as well if needed. We are getting there on Thursday and are attending both the debate and the CPAC. Thanks and looking forward to all who can attend to meet up and show Ron our support!

Carrie I cannot offer you a place to stay but I will be coming down I-95 late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning and would be glad to pick you up. Yes I am a single male, but also active duty Army and have worked closely with the official campaign in Iowa and NOLA if that means anything. Send me a PM if your interested in the details or w/e.

I'm confused. Is Doctor Paul going to be there on Saturday? I was planning on driving up (from Miami) but from what I've seen it looks like he'll only be there Thursday - Friday.

From what I understand, he'll be there Thursday through Saturday.

This seems to be the agenda for that weekend:

9/22 Thursday - FOX News Debate
9/23 Friday - CPAC Florida
9/24 Saturday - Presidency V

He is scheduled to be speaking at all three events.

Do you know what time he is scheduled to speak? Maybe I can get out of work early and catch it.

Presidential Candidate Remarks
1:35 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Do you have a ticket to Presidency 5?

Also, I heard from someone that there will be a fundraising event the next morning where you can meet Dr. Paul. You do need to sign up for that though.

That's on Saturday right? I was wondering for Friday when he was giving his speech.

I don't have a ticket to Presidency 5, I thought you only had to pay if you were a participating delegate.

Sorry for my ignorance and thanks for your help!

Yea, the time I listed was for Saturday. You can buy a guest ticket to Presidency 5 for $125 and that will give you access to the debate on Thursday and the event on Saturday. You won't be able to vote in the straw poll though.

On Friday at CPAC Florida, he'll be speaking at 1:45. Tickets to CPAC Florida are $45 and $25 for students.

Do delegates have to buy a ticket for CPAC?
