The Campaign will be issuing a press release regarding Ron Paul’s exclusion from the Presidential Candidates Forum in short order. It will cause a slow, rumbling, tremor to roll thorough-out the land. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll shout out loud, then you’ll say “Oooo, that’s cool.” Sorry no further information is available.

And, if you try to press me for more remember this: "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies."

[Admin Edit: Big Announcement here: http://ronpaul2008.typepad.com/ron_paul_2008/2007/06/in-iowa-ron-pau.html]

Tonight? Tomorrow? You simply can't do this to us.

So we'll have to guess. (Add your own guesses.)

1. Ron Paul will speak on Park St, outside the forum, on June 30.
2. Ron Paul did his own polling, and we're beating Rudy McRomney combined.
3. Ron Paul single-handedly defeated the amnesty bill.
4. We fell asleep for a year and a half, just woke up, and Ron Paul won the whole damn election.

What, WHAT? My best guess is #1. (I hope it's not that they invited him to the forum and he accepted. I want to protest!)

I agree. At this point the worst thing they could do imho is to invite Ron Paul.

Much better for us if they keep this up.

Ron Pauls campaign manager should rent out the building across the street from where they are having this thing, and put a HUGE ASS red white and blue sign on the front that says "Not satisfied with what you heard across the street? Come listen to the real conservative speak. RON PAUL 2008!!"

Might get some attention.

#5. Mike Gravel, DK, Bill Richardson and Ron Paul will host alternative debate at the same time

Cost too much money!

Good idea, but no, so sad.

They invited him to the forum and he said that he wouldn't be caught dead near the place?

Not that I'm not as optimistic as everyone whose chimed in here, but if I'm gonna say "Ooooo that's cool!", I'm thinking I'll get a press release that disects each of the other candidates and how they've supported higher taxes at some time. The press release will then conclude with Ron hosting an event across the street from the forum site.

I don't think we'll get mention of #2-4 until after Q2 results are posted. I'll be happy if we're in the top 5 - that would mean we've broken through to the top-tier in my mind. Then if Ron does well in the straw polls in some states, he could break into the top 4 and then top 3. I don't see McCain keeping up. As long as the amnesty bill is discussed, he's done (sorry Mr. Failure!!).

Failor was found in his office curled up in the fetal position with drool running down his chin mumbling “make it stop, make it stop”….?

...with his secretary rubbing his back telling him that it's just for one more week and then it'll all be over...

I would like to discuss something before many of us show up in Des Moines next Saturday.

IMO, This should not be a protest. This is an opportunity to educate people about Dr. Paul. Protesting the fact Dr. Paul isn't allowed in (if that is still the case) just adds to a false perception that Dr. Paul is a fringe candidate that needs protesting to get attention. Moreover, the Conservative base we want to start listening to Dr. Paul will not look kindly at a bunch protestors. In other words, we may turn those voters off we will so desperately need at the Iowa Straw Poll.

Dr. Paul needs to appear in everyway that he is representing the mainstream thought of Americans more and more with every passing day.

I do agree with you Marianne - I hope he is not invited, or if he is invited, I hope the campaign does not accept at this point. The other big guns aren't going, why put yourself on stage next to some small guys who really don't represent tax relief?

That's okay. We need to be outside where the press and forum attendees will see us, not hidden away in a building. I mean, we have SIGNS and TSHIRTS and LITERATURE. Going to be fun. But I don't think I can go to bed now that we've been teased with some big but vague forthcoming announcement.

Ron and Dennis should have their own private debate!

I hope he is not invited, or if he is invited, I hope the campaign does not accept at this point.

I’m not a religious person but doesn’t the good book say “Cast not your pearls before swine”.
