Prepare for Big Campaign Announcement

We have to wait for the press release, but please turn your anxiousness into positive energy:

This is where the rubber hits the road, friends. The challenge is to convert all this internet energy into people on the ground in downtown Des Moines next Saturday. If we succeed, the shot will be heard around the world. If we fail, the defeat will be a crushing embarrassment.

Can you get here? How many can you bring with you? How many can you convince to come? If you can't come, how can you help? Money? Materials? Think! How can YOU help see to it that as many Ron Paul supporters are present in Des Moines a week from today? In addition to out-of-staters, how can we get as many Iowans as possible to show up? We especially need Iowans here.

We need brainpower, people. We only have a week. Des Moines is ground zero. What ideas do you have?

Wow...now that's some BEEF. You didn't let the cat out of the bag did you?

How many RP supporter man-hours have been wasted since last night speculating about this?

Meh, I'm in Seattle... This better be good, I was gonna go downtown and hand Ron Paul info to the people coming to see Hillary.. (Yes, she's here today, God only knows why...)

NTU decided to hold a bigger, better forum next door and invite Dr. Paul, and all the ITR forum attendee candidates decided to go to that one instead too.

Check the Iowa events center website, they're having a basketball tourney there the next day. They'll have to lay down floors - that takes a long time.

PS. Dave thanks, just tell them it's big. To quote Barney: "So big it will rip this town wide open."

I have some campaign related stuff to get busy on, too.

JOHN - WHEN IS THE ANNOUNCEMENT GOING TO BE MADE?

I think anybody who has some RP action plans, don't delay them for this BS. We don't know when the announcement is coming or what it is. Get out of the house and support RP instead of playing this waiting game if you've got some more productive use of your time, I suggest.

Wow...now that's some BEEF. You didn't let the cat out of the bag did you?

No. I just want all the energy in this room channeled into something constructive.

Ask yourself: What can I do to help get people to Des Moines next Saturday, especially Iowans?

I agree, don't sit and wait around at home for all we know John is just a tool trying to lock us into sitting at our computers :)

OK? And there's a mixed martial arts fight there the night before. So we could occupy the arena that evening....

I'm missing something.

If I could get a ride and a place to crash, I'd definitly roll. I'm tapped out for cash and stuff right now, so I can't afford bus/plane+hotel. Blech. I do wish I could be there.

MDH, aren't there any other RP supporters in WV who will road trip with you? How about DC, MD, anyplace close? Y'all can leave at 3 in the morning, and take turns driving and napping.

Well, It's kinda late for me to do the Hillary thing today.. (I didn't sleep last night, I normally don't), but this is driving me crazy...

*Getting Ron Paul the Presidential Nomination from Iowa*

Ron Paul Republicans will announce their campaign to begin registering new Republicans as Ron Paul supporters and voters at a rally on June 30^th timed to coincide with the Forum from which their candidate has been excluded their spokesman said today.

The drive and other information will be announced on the radio show, The Spiritual Politician <http://www.bbsradio .com/spiritualpo litician/ spiritual_ politician. php> this afternoon at 4pm Pacific time as well. Listen in for the details.

Ben Olson, Interim Chairman of the group said, "Ron Paul is the candidate for all Americans and if we can at one time return the Republican Party to its roots and get Iowa's nomination for a man of impeccable honor then that is what needs doing."

Olson, a life time Iowan and farmer, went on to say, "Congressman Ron Paul doesn't just say he is the Champion of the Constitution. He is exactly that. More, he is the best friend of America's tax payers and the only voice for peace who clearly means to bring us home."

Ben Olson continued, adding that Ron Paul Republicans of Iowa will make sure that Iowans who care about America have a voice for the caucuses; the Republican Party," he said sadly, "has failed in its charge to represent the people's interests and provide them with the means for speaking out and being heard.

Olson closed with, "most Iowans believe in small, local government, in communities and families and individuals doing it themselves. People know best how to spend their money and should make their own decisions using their God-given rights without the constant and expensive interference of a government that doesn't know its head from a hole in the ground."

Car pools will be available. Olson said that those interested in joining and working for Paul should bet in touch with Christy Welty at ispiritkin@yahoo. com <mailto:ispiritkin@yahoo. com> or call her at 641-472-4426. Ben and Sylvia Olson's contact information is bensyl@evertek. net <mailto:bensyl@evertek. net> 712-335-4049

Christy Welty, Fairfield Town Councilwoman, has accepted the position of Coordinator for the effort. A long time resident of Iowa Ms. Welty home schools her two children and has admired Dr. Paul for many years.

The group will provide coordination for the ongoing registration drive, building at the same time an understanding of the original vision for small government, low taxes, and the inherent nature of our individual rights granted not by government but by God.

Following the original American model for getting things done the group will be organized entirely from the grass roots, working to show how the people can do it themselves and keep the power at the most local level.

The coordinating site is going up this weekend.

Turns out I am going now... lol. One of my homeys over here decided to go, and so we shall.

I have some campaign related stuff to get busy on, too.
