In preparation for Glen Beck, I think the war, and foreign policy will be the biggest topics. There are some great documentaries about the Iraq war. "No end in Sight". Interviews a lot of the former military, and intelligence people involved in the occupation, and basically points out the total incompetence of the Bush administration. The whole insurgency is directly due to mismanagement by the administration. The Bush administration is directly responsible for many of our soldiers being lost in Iraq.
Masawi, or whatever his name is in the south is not a good guy. He is an islamic extremist who came to power due to the vacuum we created by shutting down their government, and firing their army, when they were ready to jump in and help restore order. Many more of our soldiers were killed fighting this man, and now we are dealing with him. This is Saddam in repeat.
"Iraq for sale", documents many of the absurd practices of the private contractors in Iraq, ripping off the American taxpayers for billions. If people knew what was going on, I hope there would be a movement to get rid of the whole Washington gang of grifters.
"The ground truth". This is perhaps the biggest betrayal of them all. Soldiers who served there, willing to put their lives at risk for their country, are being used, and cast aside. Post tramatic stress disorder is more prevalent in our troops now than ever before, and it is because of the mental stress of being forced to fight and kill a people that are fighting because they were betrayed by the American government, and our soldiers know it. So they are forced to kill people that philisophically, they agree with. The biggest betrayal of all is that we are supposed to be the good guys. We are supposed to be the liberators, not the tyrants.
It's absurd to think that this administration is serious about terrorism when our borders are open. People say that we have to fight them over there. but if they wanted to attack us here, how would they do it? They have no navy or air force. they would have to arrive as tourists, and with our military on our home soil, and our borders secure, that would not be possible. If Iraq was capable of attacking us here in the states, they would be doing it already because our borders are wide open. Bringing the troops home and securing our borders will make us a lot safer.
