Pregnant Homeschool Mom Assaulted by Sheriff as CPS Kidnaps Her Kids in Kentucky

You're saying the parents are wrong. I am just quoting them, while you are quoting their critics who don't even know them. I have no reason to believe these people are liars.

The police report states there is no building on the property. As much as the police do lie, I doubt they would lie about something as easily verified as the existence of a building for children to live and sleep in.

Seriously all they need is a warm dry place for the kids to sleep with beds, keep them clean and well fed and I could care less about how they live their lives and raise them.

In this case I don't believe they were providing basic necessities to the kids.

I did not. I presume the parents to be innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

I could care less what you believe. Neither the parents nor the children requested you or anyone else to butt into their lives.

This is all besides the point now anyway. I read that they got $40,000 in donations already. They should be able to build a nice home with that and this story will probably have good ending.

This just shows how ignorant you are on this issue. That $40K will go into legal fees to fight and try to get their children back, which will be no easy task. If they don't get their children back (very few do), they obviously have no need to build a big house.

Large (White) families are often targted by the State. Large families not in the least dependent on the State get a double crosshair.

I've read that the states receive a lot of money from the fedgovt for each child. Very little is given to the actual foster parents and the state gets to keep the excess. Shady business in my mind. Also, many are large white families. I've read were many minority children are just left in place where they may need help. It just seems so many of this type of story as of late as well as medical taking of children. Look up Justina Pellitier (spelling of last name may be incorrect) and Boston Childrens hospital. That one made national news as well as having the Dean of Law from Liberty University take the case after seeing on TV and finding it hard to believe. He researched and found what was going on to be much worse than reported! Scary things going on.

And it seems some of the kids taken and placed in foster care are adopted out to strangers, and split families. Kids aren't even allowed to go with willing relatives. another big $$ issue.

I have no desire to butt into anyone's life. If this happened anywhere near me, I'd offer to help them out with a building to get the state off their back and their kids back to them in a safe place.

They don't need a lawyer. No lawyer is going to successfully argue the case that it's ok for the kids to live under a tarp. They can not win this in court. The state workers will come up with a list of what needs to be done for the children to be returned. In cases like these it's easier, faster and better for the kids to play along with the state's games and comply than fight a hopeless battle while your kids are kidnapped and sent to live with strangers who will do who knows what to them. I think priority #1 from the state will probably be a building to sleep in and maybe clean up the property. IMO the money would be better spent on that.

I don't see why you are so argumentative about this. Nobody has suggested in the slightest that kidnapping these kids is ok. I just think the parents were deficient in providing shelter for them.

They don't live under a tarp, but go ahead and continue with your strawman arguments to make your point. They most certainly do need a lawyer to get their kids back. You obviously have very little knowledge in this area.

EXCLUSIVE: Nauglers Respond To Critics In 1st Interview

The story of Joe and Nicole Naugler has captivated the off-grid community – and the nation. Two weeks ago sheriff deputies, acting on behalf of state CPS, removed all 10 children from the home, claiming the off-grid living conditions were unsafe.
On today’s edition of Off The Grid Radio, the Nauglers give their first in-depth interview, responding to critics and answering questions both sides of the debate have had since that initial day.

They tell us:

What the state is demanding they do to their property in order to get their children back.
Which facts about their lives everyone gets wrong.
Why they wanted to live off-grid, and why they believe this is the best way of life for their kids.
What people should know about their sources of water and electricity.
Why they believe “unschooling” is best for their children, and why it is often misunderstood.
What they say to critics who believe no child should be living the way they live.

Even if you’ve followed this case from the start, you’ll hear details you didn’t know – details that will change how you view their lives. Don’t miss this exclusive interview with a couple who, overnight, went from being truly off-grid to being the center of a public firestorm.

Listen here.

Just think of all of those poor children living in canvas yurts on Siberian steppes. I think a vacation is in order for the entirety of Kentucky CPS.

I was unschooled and this is the ONLY way I will "school" any children that I may have.

All 10 Children Returned to Naugler Family

From Blessed Little Homestead Facebook Page:

I admit, I am hesitant to post anything anymore as some of the people who follow this page are just incredibly vile.

I wanted to clear up a few things tho. First of all, to those who are trying to cause more trouble, you antics are being observed and logged. Trying to “get us in trouble” by making false reports, attempting to set us up, or harassing our family, won’t effect us. However, you will be held accountable. I don’t know why people are trying to hurt my children more, but that’s all that will come of this. They are the ones who suffer.

That being said, last Thursday the children were returned home. Many “experts” have speculated as to why and how.. It’s common to return physical custody as legal custody is finalized. We still have a lot ahead of us regarding court matters, and I cannot and will not discuss any of that, so the trolls will just have to thrive on gossip for now.

The children are doing good. We do have some issues we are working out, as Joe stated in the interview he did, they are having some insecurity issues. Their confidence and trust has been damaged, understandably.
They are happy to be back on the homestead. And happy to be together again. 8 weeks is a long time for a family as close as ours.

As far as the homestead goes, we are working on things. I will only be posting limited photos, until the case is cleared.

We did buy a prefab, and we are working on finishing the inside. We had a few delays in the other projects, and this was a quick solution. We still plan to build a larger cabin down the road, but this gives us time to work on it as a family. We have quite a few small projects we need to focus on as well such as a fall garden, larger rabbit and chicken coop, and a rain water collection system.

We still plan to continue to live off grid. We still have a tiny house plan. We still plan to homestead and I will still have the salon, which is doing quite well.

I want to thank those who have been supporting us, sending messages and prayers. I can’t always respond but I read as much as I can. You have all been very encouraging through all of this. Thank you and many blessings, ~Nicole

The Naugler's custody battle is still not over, but the children who are minors have been allowed to stay with their parents, according to their attorney Rick Hardin.

Hardin told WAVE 3 News Monday the case was still pending. He made it clear the cabinet still had custody of the children, even though they were in the Naugler's possession.

So their still in state custody but the parents full-time visitation. So magnanimous.
