I think the bottoms for gold and silver were about $1200 and $18.25 (at the end of June), so those are 14% and 26% gains respectively in the last month and a half. The miners have actually gone up much more than the metals themselves, wish I hadn't sold mine a few weeks ago.

Wow, you were selling your mining stocks when they were low?? You're supposed to buy low and sell high.

Silver Wheaton is up over 50% since June 26th... wish I would have bought that one.

That's about where I bought it at a few years ago and then I proceeded to sell at 39+. They are the best metals company because they finance and then obtain locked in amounts of gold and silver at the low-low and then they cash in when the prices are up. Ron owns them too.

This is a blessing for me. I've got all my silver and I am prepared for some crazy returns on this investment.

We all know it's not coming down for a long time.

trying to play the market is unwise imo. I buy high and buy low and stay in. It's really too easy to get burned trying to predict the future like that.

I've never had a problem selling half once the price doubles - then, aside from time, it's pretty much a free play.

I sold a bunch in the high 30s when it was on its way up to almost 50 - was kicking myself a little until the bottom fell out and it went down to sub-20 again.

Typically I am in for the long haul, but I will take some profits if I think I will get the chance to buy back in lower.

I think silver's a lot more predictable than the stock market. If it's already below 19/oz, you know it can't go much lower, and with inflation, it's due to break its previous high at some point.

I ended up selling all my silver out at the bottom because I still can't find work, and I had to eat. Sucks because I'm about out again and silver's climbing again. Oh well. If I hadn't gotten a bunch of silver then I wouldn't have eaten at all the last 3 weeks. Good news is I bought most of my silver between $12 and $14 so I didn't actually take a loss.

Deliver pizza. And you will have both a job and a place to eat.

I wish you the best of luck in the future. I am glad though that you had some $12 to sell .
