Those are COUNTY delegates. OUR county convention is on March 1st (your county may vary). There, the STATE delegates will be chosen, and the state convention is April 17th (or therabouts) and EVEN THEN WE WILL KNOW NOTHING!! The delegates remain 100% unpledged all the way to the National Convention.

That is why the straw vote is called non-binding!! It means NOTHING--except for media value, viability, etc.

Please read all the posts saying that ALL DELEGATES ARE UNPLEDGED. And then, besides, those 34 delegates will not be elected for another 3 months--and even then all thirty four of them could choose to support Ron Paul.
 
Precinct 3020 10 possible delegates. We took got 8 delegates and one of the other two said her husband likes Ron Paul. So we've got a potential 9th. We tallied our straw poll before we left.

Rudy Guliani - 0
Mike Hucabee - 1
John McCain - 2
Ron Paul - 8
Mitt Romney - 4
Fred Thompson - 1
 
7416/3/1/ 1 unknown delegate 1 Romney delegate (who agrees with alot of RP's principles so who knows what happens if Romney quits) and 2 alternates for Ron Paul. I'm an alternate, our daughter is an alternate and my wife is a delegate for the good doc.
 
just remember that the delegate count at this stage is irrelevant. This was just the first stage of the delegate selection process. Still have to win county and then state too..
 
No one can say how many national delegates a candidate has until the vote, but you can guess. Figure 18 to 21 National Delegates for MR and 4 for RP. <---- best guess from past behavior.
 
7414 / 6 / 2 for sure, possibly 3 but I couldn't confirm the 3rd was going to support RP before she left.

2 Did not disclose their preference

No alternates were nominated

It is not irrelevant.

LISTEN EVERYONE....I am glad that every Ron Paul supporter on the forum suddenly knows everything there is to know about the delegate procces. And that the delegate process is the only part that matters. Oddly, I rekon none of you can ever recall the last time a candidate was elected by delegates and not popular vote. Look, I know that the delegates are important, which I why I started this thread...not because I think I will get it all filled up, but because I want to people thinking about the delegate process. I also happen to enjoy the information.

It is not nessessary for people to spam the threads with "it isn't important what you are doing or saying" speeches. We all have a job to do. The campaing, IMO, has done a decent job of telling us how to win this thing if we will pay more attention.

I undestand that a lot of people are young and probably think their dad is stupid, but for one, can we please stop arguing with each other. Especially on my thread. ;)

Now, if you are from Nevada, do you know...

your precinct #/ total # of delegates/ and total Ron Paul delegates? If so, please reply with that information. I would sure be interested in that information and I don't think I am alone. Thanks!

20 in Pahrump. 5 Ron Paul delegates, 5 Ron Paul alternates Whooohhooo!! Let me tell you, in Pahrump, we got a huge percentage of the delegates available. that will make a difference at the county, as we'll send mostly Ron Paul delegates to the state convention. That will help influence the vote at the state. By then the economy will have gone to hell and we'll be able to convince everyone to vote Ron Paul. Hmmm...I never thought I'd be hoping the economy goes to hell......, oh well, for the good of the country.
