Your plan of getting a precinct captain or more than one, for every precinct is an excellent idea.

However, they need lead time to do a 2 phase phone solicitation and they also need the second phase.

Otherwise give them a phone message that only takes one call.

Great idea!

Give the Precinct Captains something to do, give them a small advertising budget and and some 1 page ads, 1/2 page ads, 1/4 page ads. Ads should be targeted to get the swing voters, apathetic voters, .... Make them feel good about getting a choice in November.

On of the best things I can think of is.

Every community in the US has a little local "community" newspaper, news letter, "free" to anyone paper. Most communities have more than one. These little papers are very cheap to advertise in. This is how local, very small business advertise. They have a lot of local news, and people who vote actually read these papers from front to back.

These are not big city wide newspapers, but smaller neighborhood newspapers/letter. The come out once a month, at most once a week. Let them blanket the local "community" papers.

This would take less time than phone solicitation, reach more people, and be more effective use of their time.
