PPP Tweet: Our poll suggests health care issue could cost Romney

What are the South Carolinians going to do? All of the candidates except Paul and Perry supported health care mandates, and Perry likes to mandate specific treatments.

It seems the Ron Paul campaign never learns, never listens.

Where are the electability ads, the foreign policy ads, the anti-Romney (specifically health care) ads?

They need to put out healthcare ads that attack ALL the other candidates that supported the individual mandate (Romney and Newt specifically). This could win the primary for him.

It probably doesn't make a lot of sense to spend a lot of money on anti-Romney ads in SC. One reason is because Gingrich and Gingrich supporters are already doing this on a large scale. Another reason is because Romney supporters are usually ultra-establishment types who aren't going to vote for Dr. Paul anyways. However, I do agree on the healthcare ads, but I would include all of the mandate supporting candidates, not just Romney.
Also, if I heard correctly, the campaign has some anti-Santorum ads running, or were running. This is/was a great, brilliant move because no one else seems to be going after Santorum, and when Gingrich and Romney start to fall, you don't want a scenario where the detectors from Romney and Gingrich go to support Santorum. So I would say the strategy seems to be working great. Dr. Paul is currently hitting all-time highs in the latest national polls, as well as in South Carolina.

"-34% of voters say they'd be 'unwilling to vote for a candidate who had supported an individual mandate for health care at the state level.' That issue has the potential to be Romney's biggest albatross...but he's still polling at 16% with those voters! That's really a sign of his opponents' incompetence in not attacking him on his greatest vulnerability...but if they rectify that in the last 8 days it could eat into his support."
