PPP Poll: Minnesota, Sun & Mon:

With him as president wars would never ever end. He knows nothing of economics.. he would be a puppet.

I am hoping for a 2nd in MN. Can't really think what to expect in CO and Missouri !

What's ridiculous to me is that people think Santorum is remotely electable. Santorum is as repulsive to the Democrats and Independents as, say, Barney Frank would be to the people voting for Santorum.

You've got zero crossover. Next to no Independents. Zero chance in the general... less than Newt, and that's saying something.

I don't even know how people listen to him talking about jihadists in Cuba and South America without straight up laughing... if not for the fact that he's an actual candidate. I mean, seriously, it's embarrassing to me as an American that other countries tuning in think he in any war represents us.

Actually, the latest Rasmussen poll has Santorum beating Obama 45% to 44%: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep.../general_election_santorum_vs_obama-2912.html

The fact Santorum has any support makes me lose faith in America as a country. Who the f are these people that support this nutjob? These 37% would probably vote for Adolf Hitler if given the choice.

There`s perhaps good reason as to why Bachman was chosen governor in Minnesota. Didn`t Bachman endorse Santorum?

isn't rp getting like 50% of the young vote in some places?

Yes 50% of the youth vote (10%) of voters gets you 5%. How in the hell does Ron get third or higher? You can't win the Republican nomination with youth votes and Indys. You have to win old Republicans like I said months before Iowa and will continue to say it. The fact that people in here can't grasp something so basic is beyond me. It's elementary and we will continue to find out to tonight the youth only strategy is a failure.

My mother-in-law voted for him. She is very well educated, served as a Jag in the Navy, and is Catholic. She also espouses nearly everything that is said on Fox News. I thought since day 1 that Santorum was her perfect candidate. Well.... Rick Santorum in Rick Perry's body... with the accent :p

For a general election, its a great strategy, but for the gop race not so much. But really, the media is what's holding back the repub voters. Most young people and indys don't watch fox and cnn, hence the strong paul support

Doesn't she like the Constitution? Santorum has proven that he doesn't.

Only when it's convenient to her like all the other fake conservatives.

She was also never Gov and I never heard her endorse Santorum so what the heck are people talking about.

Bachmann hasn't endorsed anyone yet, and she wasn't the governor of Minnesota. She is a US representative.

She was in the Minnesota State Senate where she broke her no new tax pledges.

Percentage of the 18-29 vote by state:

Iowa: Paul 48, Santorum 23, Romney 13, Gingrich 5
NH: Paul 46, Romney 28, Santorum 7, Gingrich 3
SC: Paul 31, Gingrich 28, Santorum 21, Romney 16
FL: Romney 41, Paul 25, Gingrich 21, Santorum 13
NV: Paul 41, Romney 36, Gingrich 16, Santorum 7

18-29 on average for the 5 states is about 10% of the overall vote.

Sunday? I would assume most people would be at a super bowl party and wouldn't want to be bothered

He's getting a roughly half of them yes. But they are a miniscule percentage of the voting electorate is the point. They aren't showing UP is what I'm trying to say. If I only showed up and voted for RP then ya he'd have 100% of young vote, but what the hell is my 1 vote supposed to do? Win elections. Turn out is important.

they've always been a very small voting block. I tried to say this back in october and no one believed me. Somehow they thought we could get young people to account for 20 - 25% of the vote when they have historically been about 8%
