Trump won the swing states because he attracted voters that don't normally vote republican and made the republican party larger because of his populist platform he got even independent votes.

The Federal government is the government of all of the states not just the people who vote for you. When you are the party in power you have to remember that or you lose power.

Cable news says the BBB as passed by the House would add 2.4 Trillion to the deficit. I'm pretty sure once it's done, it will add even more than that, like about 2.5 Trillion, once the Senators remove the Medicaid cuts (notice how the Medicaid cuts don't even matter much), and then there will be a battle of getting just enough Democrats to sign off on it to counter the deficit hawks in the GOP.
