Extension Order

last paragraph:

The actions and policies addressed in these Executive Orders continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. For this reason, the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13660, which was expanded in scope in Executive Order 13661, Executive Order 13662, and Executive Order 14065, and under which additional steps were taken in Executive Order 13685 and Executive Order 13849, must continue in effect beyond March 6, 2024.

Therefore, in accordance with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13660.

This notice shall be published in the Federal Register and transmitted to the Congress.

Dear Mr. Speaker: (Dear Madam President:)

last paragraph:

The actions and policies of persons that undermine democratic processes and institutions in Ukraine; threaten its peace, security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity; and contribute to the misappropriation of its assets, as well as the actions and policies of the Government of the Russian Federation, including its purported annexation of Crimea and its use of force in Ukraine, continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. Therefore, I have determined that it is necessary to continue the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13660 with respect to Ukraine.

Why did that GUN FREE ZONE sign allow that school shooting? Why didn't it climb down off the wall, walk over and kick the shooter's ass?

Bad analogy and changes nothing. The Gun Free Zone sign states the law. Constitution allows every law on the books including this EO and all other bad things to become law. Gun Free Zone law didn't do that. Analogy failed.

Bad analogy and changes nothing. The Gun Free Zone sign states the law. Constitution allows...

What's so bad about it? Sign states the law, but can't enforce it. Piece of 235 year old parchment states the law, but can't enforce it.

Gun Free Zone law didn't do that.

The sign didn't do anything whatsoever, including enforce its own authority.

I don't see a problem with my analogy at all.

This recurring theme of yours that if the government did it, it must be constitutional is goofy and tiresome. If anyone ever thought a piece of paper could enforce itself, why was the Supreme Court created?

I'd love to see you explain how your repetitious claim that if the government does it, then the Constitution allows it differs from this horse hockey:

Nice of Biden to confirm he wants to continue using emergency powers against us.

Kinda cool how it just overlaps Jan 20, 2025. Almost like they are planning to use emergency powers if the election doesn't go their way, actually, exactly like that...

But, the only reason the people CAN allow it, is because the Constitution makes it so.

I would disagree.

Congress with the SCOTUS' "interpretation" has allowed it.

The Constitution requires very little "interpreting".

[Any "confusion" can be relatively easily cleared up by referring to the Constitutional Conventions, ratifying debates, Federalist Papers and various letters, journals, articles and speeches from that era.

It's just important to reference these sources BEFORE the Constitution was ratified, not after.

Because many of the same people, flip flopped once the document was signed.]

So we have government and the courts, including the Supreme Fraud, actively undermining the Constitution soon after it was ratified.

The Founders and Revolutionaries told us that it would always be upto the people to keep government in check.
