An open letter to the author of this post, and all Fellow Travelers:

I have no doubt at all that the bigmouths and blowhards flying Molon Labe flags right along side their "Blue Lives matter" flags will crimp and fold like a Chinese laundry.

Me?

I'm an old man, used up and broken by 45 plus years of working like a niggger on the oceans of the world to provide food and fuel and light and heat for dumbasses just like you.

I've got grown children who are one of the few joys left in my life, the last of whom, my youngest daughter who I just doted on, my motorcycle rider partner and one the few friends I have, just left home yesterday to start a new life with her future husband.

My father is dead, my mother is in ill health and neither one of them cared for me very much. My old man's last words to me were "I have no son" when I told him I could not break him out of a rehab that was killing him. One of the ailments that is killing my mother right now is complications from a decades old birth control procedure. She told me just the other day that she had to have that done because I was such a rotten kid and she didn't want any more.

My ex wife hates me, which is something I suppose.

My current wife is just indifferent, which is the true opposite of love. We're just hostile roommates now, living on opposite sides of the house.

I got one little brother who, I assume, considers me an asshole just like everybody else. I don't really know, we don't talk much.

So, you know what, dickhead?

Yeah, maybe everybody else will fold, but I won't...not because I'm some brave tough guy...but because, like Kris Kristofferson wrote, "freedom's just another word, for nothing left to lose".

You will have to kill me.

And I will take as many of you motherfuckers I possibly can, straight to hell with me.
