Yeah, like Barrex said, I understand not wanting to and I was hesitant at first during the last money bomb.

But as he pointed out, they just need that info to calculate the total amount of people that will be reached.

They don't change anything on your profile, follow anyone new, or post any Tweets or Facebook messages other than the one message blast that you are signing up for. I've been signed up since August and it's been all good.

Plus you are able to go in to your settings and revoke the permissions after the 5th.

For anyone unfamiliar with Thunderclap... you sign up with your Facebook or Twitter account and on November 5th they will post one message advertising the money bomb from everyone at the same moment.

The message includes a link to Rand's site to donate and the hashtag #StandWithRand, and the idea is that when a large number of people all post the same message at the same time it's able to break through the noise of a social media feed and be seen. You can customize the message that will be sent... just make sure to leave the link and hashtag.

We need at least 250 people to sign up before the 5th in order for the message to be sent.

It's free, it's simple, and takes less than a minute to join. And it will promote the money bomb to the feeds of hundreds of thousands of people.

I know a lot of people don't have social media accounts so anyone creating one for the money bomb is very appreciated. That's how I got started on Twitter back in 2012.

I rarely use my real Facebook account, and I don't have a personal Twitter account because I don't do anything that interesting... but for money bomb promotion I figured it was worth it to reluctantly join the social media world.

No, don't think about it like that. You're still helping the message get out to thousands of people. Think about the total number added together.

In order for the message to get out to the 100k+ total reach, we first have to have 250 supporters sign up. So everyone is important no matter what their own reach is.
