Possible crisis in Louisiana - MUST READ!

it's ridiculous. I can't even word my frustrations

WHY DON"T PEOPLE WAIT FOR SOME OFFICIAL WORD AND STOP JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS...I see a lot of misinfo agents here always trying to derail the movement. Stop believing every website article you read.

Wait a second. Wait just a fucking second. We had Melissa and everyone else reporting on Louisiana posting last night that the Ron Paul people outnumbered this sham assembly. I believe the thread was something along the lines of "Ron Paul's First Gold?" .

Now we see this:

I thought we had at least 1 district completely over-run.

http://www.lagop.com/

There were apparently more "visible" Paul supporters than "visible" supporters of any other candidate. The slate included supporters of many candidates, plus people who only cared about the delegate candidate, not who he/she was supporting for president.

I know this seems strange if you haven't been involved in politics before but this really is how slates and coalitions are formed. We did extremely well taking on the incumbent machine -- they just did a better job in many of the districts. How many remains to be seen -- we won't know for sure until they finish counting the provisional ballots.

It's true. I was there

Unfortunately, the pro-life pro-family ballot won in district 1. There was a good showing of Paul supporters, but the PFPL delegates were the top 15 vote getters and we were just behind with the next 15. It's really a loophole in the system that they just exposed by doing this, but it's almost like they just did it to stop ron paul. Doesn't make much sense to me since they don't even know what candidate these delegates are for.

By the way, the pro-life pro-family ballot handout was ridiculous, almost comical. It has a picture of Ronald and Nancy Reagan on it and says "Win one for the Gipper. Keep the Republican party focused on Reagan's values of less government, more freedom, strong families, and a strong national defense" How ironic, Dr. Paul stands for all of these.

Whether this sort of coalition forming is common practice or not: Before taking democracy to Iraq, we should try taking it to the US!

Which is why third party is our best option. We are more likely to win the presidency 3rd party than win the GOP nomination.

3rd party is gonna be fun as hell I reckon.

I'm with you now. I was telling people to stop saying it, but after the turnout we had last night, and the ridiculous fact of how they beat us, I don't think there's any serious chance at all for the Republican nod at this point.

Who isn't pro-family? What does that even mean? Can someone explain that?

So the anti-family group is reserved for bachelors and single women? I just once would love to hear someone say, "Actually, I'm anti-family."

Sounds like bull to me.

lmfaooooooooo

But wait a second... where the heck did MCCAIN come from? GOP Press release says McCain came in second behind PL/PF, followed by RP in THIRD???

But wait a second... where the heck did MCCAIN come from? GOP Press release says McCain came in second behind PL/PF, followed by RP in THIRD???

McCain and Paul were the only 2 candidates to submit (mostly) complete slates of delegates, plus some of McCain's folks were on the PLPF slate as well (as was one RP supporter as well, per another thread around here). So that likely explains how he edged ahead.

Blog it. This is the extent they will go to to convince you that he's unelectable, folks. They don't want your vote to count. If you believe in the Republic of the people, by the people and for the people, overwhelm them.

Ron Paul so annihalated any other candidate that he nearly beat all other candidates combined. Heard this on the MSM? No?

Yeah, there are definitely 2 ways to spin Louisiana.

1) Ron Paul lost to PLPF

2) Ron Paul finished higher than any other candidate for President.

We can say, if we want, that we "won".

Did we beat Romney? Yes
Did we beat Huckabee? Yes
Did we beat McCain? Yes
Did we beat Giuliani? Yes

In fact, they didn't even campaign there.

We were so strong that our outsider slate did very well compared to the coalition of uncommitted local politicians.

Of course, theres a primary, too.

Yep But

Which is why third party is our best option. We are more likely to win the presidency 3rd party than win the GOP nomination.

3rd party is gonna be fun as hell I reckon.

WE CONTINUE TO BUILD WITHIN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY,GETTING ALL REAL REPUBLICANS WITH US,SO IF THE GOP TURNS THERE BACKS ON RON PAUL,we all leave in mass the day after the convention AND FORM THE REAL REPUBLICAN PARTY and RUN AS A 3RD PARTY,and THEN WE WIN,there is no way the media could ignore a MASS EXODUS OF REPUBLICANS FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

we need to let the republican party know this loud and clear the day of the convention. WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR HILLARY REPUBLICANS.

its really the republican partys issue not ours if they choose to be republicans then they nominate RON PAUL,if the republican party chooses hillary republicans, then we take the republican party with us and let them watch REAL REPUBLICANS RUN FOR PRESIDENT(RON PAUL)

sounds better then voting for hillary republicans .

RON PAUL :)

Of course not. Dont be silly.

Picture this: Middle aged Republican walks in and sees a delegate form with a pic of Ronald and Nancy Reagan on it with the words "Pro Life/Pro Family" official ballot.

Or...

They could get a Ron Paul ballot (clearly marked).

What are they gonna vote for?

Where were the other choices?

There are those who don't like Ron Paul (yet). But it may very well have been a mistake for us not to give the undecideds a 3rd 4th 5th option.

Or...

Ron Paul supporters get wise to whats going on and stand next to plpf guy and explain that a vote for them is a vote for noone and more importantly, a vote for the war.. and also, these people have no relation to Regan.

Stand next to plpf guy and hand out a very similar slate, but with one different name.

That's one more delegate for us.
