Popularity Contest - Ron Paul's Celebrity Worth

I heard from a Murray Sabrin campaign staff member that Niel Young tried to endorse Ron publicly in 2008, but Ron's campaign didn't want him to.
 
Somebody should mention that the Tim Duncan piece about Ron Paul was satire.

Wish it was true, since he is my favorite basketball player.

Explain your rationale for these two. What makes you think they are anywhere close to even considering Paul's philosophy of government?

Just because Angelina thought about playing Dagney Taggart in Atlas Shrugged doesn't mean she's an Objectivist. And Brad Pitt is married to Angelina therefore... what?

Anthony Hopkins played a cannibal serial killer. Doesn't mean he is one.

I wouldnt count howard stern.. Even tho Howard prob agrees with everything ron paul stands for.. he seems to be one of those people that vote for the winning horse.. if ron paul is derided as having a 'quixotic' bid for the presidency.. I doubt howard will tout him

Do you consider yourself libertarian? Absolutely.

I take it you’re supporting Ron Paul, then.No. I just don’t think he’s a legitimate candidate at this point in time. It’s interesting and fun to watch the Internet support he gets, and I like conceptually a lot of the things he says, but I wouldn’t vote for him.

People who's work constitutes some of the same view points. Hell they could all even put Ron Paul INTO their work!
 
Chris Lytle (among other UFC fighters) is a big Ron Paul guy. After one of his victories last summer he asked everyone from Connecticut to vote for Peter Schiff live on pay-per-view.
 


According to this interview, Dax Shepard identifies himself as a libertarian. (at about 13:30)
 
Probably the South Park creators. I'd love to see them do a positive episode with Ron Paul somewhere in it!
 
I just finished Ice-T's book from 1991 called The Ice Opinion, who gives a fuck and I would say that he could easily be convinced to support RP. That was one of the most Libertarian books I've read in quite a while.
