It's weird he doesn't want to sell it. For a lot of people the whole point of building something up is to create value and sell it. Otherwise it's like digging up gold and then vaporizing it. Even if for him it's a money pit, a better marketer would be able to make lots of money with that kind of traffic. With the DP I can understand not wanting his baby to be ruined by someone else, but PL is still brand new and whatever happens won't tarnish the legacy of the DP.

I guess we could go with the socialist model, where if a person creates something of value then it is no longer his and belongs to the public. We own his site because we exist!

No I agree, libertarians can be total dicks. From what I've seen I don't think he is, because I understand what he has to deal with, but I can understand people feeling that way about him.
