All "drugs" have side effects and you have to weigh the benefits vs. side effects. If the percentage of negative results is less than the percentage of benefits then take the drug. If it's the other way around or even then don't take it. I think if you check the stats on deaths from pneumonia (for instance) in the 1800's vs the 1900's you will find that deaths came WAY down after antibiotics. Used to be that if you got pneumonia you had a pretty good chance to die. Now younger people do not die from it unless it's untreated. Older people have additional health problems that complicate any condition so the results are not as good in the elderly but still much better than the 1800's...
In fact statistics for pretty much any infection type condition show much better chance of surviving with antibiotics. Please keep in mind people that NO ONE is forcing you to take any medication. All practitioners should be making it clear to patients that they have the final say in any treatment options. I know we do...
