How does the CNN blog poll work?

They had a poll asking if he should be included in their online poll. (scroll down).

I checked first on the results. Since they had Gilmore last, I voted for him. How about we turn their poll literally upside down?

They jumped from just a few thousand votes to 61 thousand overnight? That could explain the change in percentage, but it doesn't seem very likely that several hundred percent more votes would come in over night.
