I don't think this ad is bad enough to pull it and lose the money invested in it and the time it would take to create and push out a new one. I do think the campaign should focus on replacing this ad with a new ad as soon as possible.
The main thing that bothers me is that this ad starts off with a negative statement: "I don't always agree with Ron Paul." What? What kind of opening statement is that?
The rest of the ad, I think plays well to mostly uninformed people who maybe have heard "of" Ron Paul because they have seen signs or heard someone talk about him.
In a replacement ad, I'd like to see:
1) Testamonials from REAL RP supporters and not actors, like seen in that Seattle meetup vid
2) Graphs of Ron Paul's money generation, meetup members, youtube stats, or any other graph which looks good
3) More focus on issues
But really, we can't expect an avaroth/new hope style of ad. Those videos are too long and use too much copyrighted material to be adapted into real campaign ads, unfortunately.
However, there is NOTHING to stop your meetup group from setting up a booth at an event and playing those videos on a loop with a laptop computer. We just did that at an event in Orlando and got a really phenomenal response. We even gave away almost all the RP signage we came to the event with to new supporters!!
