Poll results: Ron Paul in first among Republican males

Not sure why other women don't get Ron Paul. I am a former Dem, so perhaps selling them on his anti-war stance would work with those types, but honestly, I have no idea what traditional Republican females vote for or what they are into.

well pushing no wars is one way ... baby dr ... truth honesty with proof ... and get ron's wife to put out best recipe book with family bio / available at speech places Ron goes to ... show the family values !

ron has always been far more popular with men than women. women are emotional beings. libertarianism doesn't play well to people who don't look past the intention, like "feeding the children" and see the logical side of the argument. it may be sexist to say it... but it's just human nature, atleast imho.

You should start a new thread about this topic, I don't think it has been discussed here before.

It is amazing how far ahead of where we were last campaign, and just a few weeks ago! I did my own poll average based on the Real Clear Politics one, minus the McClatchy/Marist inaccurate poll. Ron Paul now has a national average of 9.8%!

For women, push the OB/GYN angle, but don't slam the "ABORTION IS MURDER!!!" idea home unless she has already stated her beliefs on abortion. For pro-choice women who are wary of his pro-life beliefs, bring up his stance that the federal government should have no say in the matter; that it is a state issue.

No? I feel like this method works everytime.

At least we don't have to start with Santorums' numbers: 1%

I'd say the best place to start are our soldier's mothers. If you have never talked with or heard the perspective of a soldier's mother, you should take a moment and listen.

I think they would be very open to Ron Paul's ideas and would give great voice to the female support.

Need need NEED to build the 65+ age group. This is imperative. I'm not kidding when I say go stumping in retirement communities. Many of them don't know much about him.

The "females are to emotional for libertarian ideas" argument is somewhat valid. I think it applies more to mothers, than single childless females. I think we should focus on the latter.

I've seen studies saying women are less financially secure and tend to be more the heads of single parent households, more likely to be a paycheck away from needing aid. That also might have something to do with it. What people need is more opportunities to earn money, though, with a recovered economy, not more government.

That surprises me. His anti war message alone should be pulling in female voters... what's not to like about spending US tax dollars at home, rather than Afghanistan or Iraq?

Ron badly needs to slow down and complete a thought before going on to the next one. There is no reason why women would not be attracted to the idea of pulling their sons and daughters out of these foreign wars and bringing them home to defend our OWN country.

It's valid because on average female's are more driven by emotion, intuition and prefer not to take less risks.
While on average men are more driven by logic (altough absolutely no guarantee that it's good logic) and don't mind taking risks as much.

Yeah...okay. You smug fellas do realize that it was you who re-elected Bush in a vast majority, women didn't even have the vote when the Federal Reserve Act was voted in, etc. Right?

Why did so many men vote for Bush in 2004? Logic or emotion?

How many times will this subject come up? How many threads will there be with you guys whining that women are:

not slutty enough
too slutty
too emotional
too controlling
too weak
superficial
not pretty enough
too fat
too skinny
too old
too young
too socialist
too career-oriented

My point: Men have just as many good points/bad points as women. If you'd like to point fingers and blame women, you're a victim-mentality jerknose.

Yeah I agree.

I think that the demographic of more men liking Ron's views is that men in today's society is the largest group that gets screwed by socialism.... most of the socialist programs target women and minorities. It's easier to recognize the injustice of the system when its hypcrocrisy effects you first hand.
