07-08 we heard of Ron Paul during the debates but we didn't even consider him because of his foreign policy and we bought into the whole economy will be fine bit. We watched Fox news, listened to Hannity, Rush, Levin and O'Reily if they were on while we were driving. Voted for Huckabee in the primary and held our noses and voted McCain in the general.

Jan '10 we started homeschooling and I read a lot about parental rights and the threats from the gov. Last Dec we got rid of TV and we stopped listening to the talking heads as much. Earlier this year I really started looking into and researching our food supply and the gov restricting our basic human rights to choose what we eat and drink. The whole raw milk thing and big ag. I kept seeing Paul's name come up. We watched him give a speech during one of the CPACs I think it was and he made a lot of sense. We were a bit apprehensive about his foreign policy, hubby more so than I. I always questioned why it was the US that had to be the policemen of the world but went along with it because it "made us look tough". Hubby was a Marine and I think it was especially challenging to break through everything that had been drilled into his brain while in service. We were very concerned about our personal liberties though and the corruption within the gov. We were also stuck in the whole regulating morality thing. It was a challenging time, honestly. This was all around the time of the Bin Laden thing and Libya. I was starting to see through the L Vs R propaganda and was really seeing the cronyism. It didn't take long and we had done a complete turn around on some of our views, like foreign policy. I read The Revoluion: A Manifesto and that was it. I'm done with the status quo and done with the GOP. No one but Paul!

My first exposure to Ron Paul was when I was involved in a politicial discussion forum called "Political Wag". I had recently become enamored with Gary Johnson but was a Nader fan as well and was actually working on Nader's campaign in 1999. Thats when I began my transition from being an uninformed liberal who thought that the givernment should do this or that not realizing what I was saying to someone who just wanted the government out of everything except for what the Constitution allowed them to do I had never read the Constitution until the libertarians in that forum kept eating alive everyone else with their knowledge of the Constitution. I was like a lot of other liberals who thought that the founding fathers and the Constitution were passe and that times have changed. Until a Libertarian made me feel stupid. At least back then as now, whenever someone made a claim about whatever topic I would do the research to find information to counter his information and it caused me to read every side of every position and to READ READ READ. So then I was sort of embarrassed into actually reading the Constitution and then to research into the Federalist Papers, the anti Federalist Papers and other materials from that era and before and after. Then as I bagan to change someone there turned me on to Gary Johnson and I immediately became a HUGE fan of him. But then someone else turned me on to an article by Ron Paul ( I said who?) called "Sorrt Mr Franklin We're All Democrats Now". It frigging blew me away to say the least. I didn't even know what he looked like but I started to read everything I could find that he had written and that anyone else had written about him and the more I read, especially the things he wrote the bigger fan I bacame of his. For six months at least I pictured him as someone who looked like Mitt Romney or Rick Perry or Ronald Reagan. Tall, handsome, articulate and a great oritor. When I inally saw what he looked like I just laughed to myself and because he was this short little old guy who was saying those things I wrapped my heart around him even stronger.
I am 52 years old now and have been disappointed by heros all my life from OJ Simpson to Ronald Reagan but I can feel safe about my new found hero Ron Paul. He's honest and has integrity a mile high and his knowledge about freedom, economics, our history and the Constitution caonstantly amaze me.
If there was some way to measure the one's admiration and love I would put mine up against ANYONE here. Ron Paul is my president and I am proud to support him with all my effort. With me it's

((((NO ONE BUT PAUL)))))
