I take Redskins as a nod to Indians being powerful warriors. Same with Vikings. No reason to be offended.

He's probably gonna tell you that this is a bunch of bullshit. First, you would have to define "Native Americans." Well, that's a whole fucked up thing in and of itself. Dot's not feathers and such. I'm not specifically talking about being one. I'm talking about the definition with regards to the Fed.gov. , the state.gov, NFL team name, high school team names, perceptions, stereotypes, blather and bullshit.
Sports teams named were fashioned from something more fearsome than their lilly white asses were capable of. The cougars. The bears. The eagles.
My view....It's really sick to piss off some Scandinavians over the "Vikings." Because that is next in P.C. universe.

I'd say that people who are aware of the origins of Thanksgiving are much more likely to be offended by it than a person who bought the revisionist bullshit they were told about in public school. If not outright offended, they would probably refrain from celebrating it. I'm not a native myself, but I absolutely reject that holiday just like I refuse to partake in 4th of July festivities and don't celebrate Columbus Day.

As there is any number of factions within white/christian/ judaic etc. so to are there divisions among the people. The human condition affects all....humans.
