Politico: Pro-Paul PAC makes BIG ad buy in South Carolina

I think theyre bad. I think they make our candidate look amateurish and unprofessional. I think someone from rev PAC should convince them not to run the ads. I could've made a better ad in my basement and I'm not even an animator

I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth! It's better than nothing!

Thank you Santa Rita SuperPAC!

why didn't they just donate their money to revpac......

well that one video about China invading Texas that RevPac did might not be a good fit for South Carolina, and they might have seen that. In any event it is their money, and I'm really glad they are doing this. Hope they'll put more into the tarp and electibility one than the mask one.

I think we may be spoiled with out movie-trailer type ads. These aren't bad, and they do get across some good points. This is defiantly going to help Ron Paul!

They're obviously not as slick as the campaign or revpac ads, but they're not bad. I think there's no question they'll do more good than harm. The masks one is the only one I wish they'd left out.

Folks will see the slick official ads too -- nothing wrong with a little variety.

The ads are not flashy but I think you guys are crazy for saying these ads are bad. These are the type of ads that win campaigns. Look at the ads for Bush, Clinton, Obama, Al Gore, McCain, Mitt Romney. These ads use psychology (i.e. repeating that Ron Paul will be the next President) they are also short. When the brain is focusing on t.v. the analytical processes are slowed so a short ad can affect the voter and be off screen before the voter has time to mentally rebut the ad. This will mentally promote Ron Paul to the subconscious in a way that a long ad can't because long ads try to affect the intellect. With Ron Paul, his message is contrary to what they have been told to think so it's easier for their intellect to dismiss a long ad.

I agree Joseph. There were a few things vetted here in the forums when they first came out, but I think they are minor in general. These ads are not amateur. They may not be as polished as others, but they use a specific advertising philosophy of sticking to one message and keeping it short, instead of trying to cram a lot of info into 30 seconds. Also, the business making them is a successful business in the area, apparently, so one would think he knows the SC market. The criticisms here are largely over reacting.

They are that bad, I like that he gets call the next president, cause' he is. I think they could easily find some better design help to make them "flashy" like others have said. In today's world that is what reaches out to people. The more ads the better.

does anyone know who runs the Utah pac, "endorsing liberty?" it says they also spent into double digits with ad buys for Paul? any info? did I misread the article?

These ads are amateur...if I had a second guess I might even wonder if there's a saboteur at work here.

These are execellent ads. They will help. They don't have the production value of most of the regular Paul campaign ads, but so what. They have a good message. They are on the air. This is awesome.

I wish RevPac would reach out to this PAC and offer some help on the ads. Mr. Huffines might not even know how to find someone to put together quality ads without spending a ton on hiring an ad company.

If the guy owns a radio station and has this much money, I doubt that is a problem for him. With that said, I appreciate what they are doing and hope they know better than myself.
