Politico: Pro-Paul PAC makes BIG ad buy in South Carolina

The ads are awful. I wish they would have hired an ad company and a pollster for focus group testing. They are even airing an ad in SC bashing Bush. Ugh.

can pacs coordinate with eachother? Because REv Pac has some good ads and makes them well (I really like the last two).

actually, that's not so bad. It is a little edgy, and doesn't mention that Huntsman, Gingrich etc all thought TARP was dandy, too, but it is ok, I think.

I liked the part with the poll, although I'm a little uncomfortable with cherry picking just one. Ron does poll well, but maybe an average.... anyhow, it is definitely a point that needed to be addressed and it didn't seem like the campaign was going to do it any time soon.

So, thank you, Superpac!

Meh. I like the ads. They are cheesy in a good way. They're the kind of thing PACs are about. They might be able to get us soft support and push the narrative that Paul is electable and has support from the troops, and is an incorruptible populist.

I'm not sure. I don't think their ads are tested either though. I love their ads, but they only ask us for input. Could be preaching to the choir.

We've already discussed this countless times, and provided with all the who's who about who these people are. They are a Dallas Fort Worth area home builder, catholic radio station owner, and auto group owner. To flood the airwaves in the DFW market with ads (for their businesses)

I don't see why not. I think some of the Paul supporters who make great videos should get in touch with this PAC and coordinate videos for FL.

Oh sounds good. Looks like they helped host fundraisers for Ron Paul last time around too:

The single most-successful fundraiser of the Ron Paul 2008 campaign took place last night in Highland Park, Texas (Dallas). The event was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Huffines.

The Huffines family opened their beautiful home and graciously hosted many supporters of Dr. Paul's. The evening ended with $102,000 donated to Dr. Paul's presidential campaign!

The ads are not flashy but I think you guys are crazy for saying these ads are bad. These are the type of ads that win campaigns. Look at the ads for Bush, Clinton, Obama, Al Gore, McCain, Mitt Romney. These ads use psychology (i.e. repeating that Ron Paul will be the next President) they are also short. When the brain is focusing on t.v. the analytical processes are slowed so a short ad can affect the voter and be off screen before the voter has time to mentally rebut the ad. This will mentally promote Ron Paul to the subconscious in a way that a long ad can't because long ads try to affect the intellect. With Ron Paul, his message is contrary to what they have been told to think so it's easier for their intellect to dismiss a long ad.

I love the Bailout ad. Thank you Mr. Huffines!

Yes, thank you for the work you're doing. Just be aware that the huge amount of money you are pumping into SC TV markets would be used much more effectively.
