i agree with u totally.
whatever they are laying out for the past 2 days, was the implicit truth.
yet we were fighting for the delegates.
so why put out these releases at this time ?
why not continue like the past few weeks ?

He said unless something very unusual happens which was the truth a week ago and a month ago. But if we weren't in there fighting to win, if something unusual happened we would not be able to take advantage of it, and meanwhile our greater strength at convention gained through that enthusiasm would make them take us more seriously.

And it really pisses me off that they are letting that 'disruptions were our fault' meme go unchallenged, I feel betrayed on that point, frankly. We have to get the video to Ron about and of the OK convention. Anyone insisting they followed the rules would have 'caused disruption' and their hitting US with no violent response is not OUR fault.

Maybe Rand got a nod and a wink also.

That's like Jack Bauer promising an immunity deal. The GOP will knife Rand in the back at the first opportunity. I am almost physically ill at continually hearing about how if we play nice they will be nice to Rand in four years. God almighty this is naive of those you buy into that charade. Rand Paul is the devil to these people. You think the powers that be have played hardball with Ron? Wait till you see what they will try to do to Rand leading up to 2016. We need to draw a line in the sand and play hardball.

It is very clear what is happening with the official campaign. Benton wants to have future influence and career prospects. He thinks us continuing to rock the boat will jeopardize that. He is also already planning for a Rand Paul 2016 run, so he puts that ahead of the present. Because of this, he is trying to get us to stop rocking the boat.

That would be cheesy and wrong and gutless.

I'm in total agreement here. I have no idea what the heck Benton was thinking when he did this. Morale is #1 priority when we have people on the ground and in the trenches working so hard. It's not that any one wants to give up, but it sure takes the wind out of ones sails trying to press on with bad news. I just think this could have been handled much better in light of the fact that we still have so far to go. People need encouragment, not what Benton did.

Like I said...I usually don't post that much, but I was shocked and depressed by this. I don't like Benton too much after this.

Ben Swan isn't too happy about this either from what I've read.
