POLITICO -- on Benton's email

All I can say is, none of the things which happened in the past few days was necessary. Whether Paul will win or not is a different question, but what was the big need to demotivate thousands of supporters with these 2 campaign emails? Totally unneccessary.

I'm usually at the conventions so I don't see how the media covers it but... do they ever show the delegates announcing their votes? I can't believe that; no one would watch it.
Yes, the media does cover it... especially MSM will create the premeditate hoopla coverage when Obamney reaches the 1144 mark (nomination). Do you remember Hillary and the New York delegation with the big theatrics to put Obama over the top in 2008?

Counting only “bound” delegates, those who are required by rule to support Romney at the Tampa convention based on vote results in their states, I'm wondering if the RNC will select an "NEW ORDER" in which states announce their delegates for the candidates. I'm thinking @ the RNC... "Cheat as We GoP con", will select all Romney controlled states first, followed by Frothy's followers, then Mr Newtron StayPuft Marshmallow... just throwing it out there. Looking at the tapes of the 1940s & 50s conventions/candidates/delegates... theres been plenty of Chaos, party premeditated obstructions, and even fights on the convention floor... anything went @ the conventions... well, until the last 4-5 decades where's it's just the 2 ringers of the duopoly and theatrics for the public to swallow.

Ron tends to let the people around him make more decisions for him than necessary. Ron is known for having his capos insulate him and/or inform him on certain things. Just think of how the newsletters ordeal went down. His trusted pals have carte blanche to do whatever and Ron doesn't manage things as tight as he should. Idk, I've never been in the politics biz so I don't know how tight or loose one should control everything surrounding themselves.

That said, Ron is a voice for liberty on the grand scale but we have to man up and pull our own weight at all times. Liberty doesn't come easily or cheap, think of what the founders dealt with. Even if Ron becomes Prez, we all know the liberty wouldn't be assured. We've all seen how tight of a grasp that the media and the radio mafia have over the general public. Hence, from where we stand we have no other choice but to take the reigns of the GOP and mold it in our style. Putting efforts into reclaiming the GOP or putting the same effort into pushing the LP or CP will have vastly different results. The best bang for the buck is keep building our influence in the GOP. Above all, we owe it to ourselves and to Ron, who's put up with all this crap even before he had us to stand with him, to 86 all these corrupt bastards that have nipped at our heels at every stage of the game.

I understand that some of our softies will fizzle out because they don't have the stomach for it nor the courage to endure defeat at times. This never was gonna be a cakewalk allowing us to cruise to victory with the top down and our sunglasses on. At all times, we have maximize our weight and influence and we can't let any opportunities pass us by. For those that are really in it to win liberty, you must have your head down going full steam ahead. If it's too overwhelming to fight for liberty where you are, I urgently advise you to check out the Free State Project.

I'm sure all of us have done much for the cause of liberty both now and in the past. Yet, the supermajority of us never had to endure a fraction of what the founders did. Don't give up on our momentum in taking back the GOP and let the memories of the founders die out. Remember what the meme was at the 2008 Rally for the Republic? Taking the GOP back to its Roots That was the birth of the C4L and we had very little forward progress as far as reclaiming the GOP to show for then compared to now. So, let's continue the mission for liberty with renewed commitment: til death do us part, but if we own the GOP, it won't come to that.

Great post.

You're right about Ron letting his top campaign staff take control.

It's pretty clear most of the staffers don't have a clue what is going on most of the time. I imagine Benton makes most decisions without consulting many people at all. I now believe he has caused many problems for this campaign and for Ron, which is something I didn't believe before.

The push doesn't end when Benton says so.

Paul wants GOP platform planks on monetary policy reform, prohibitions on indefinite detention, and Internet freedom. And he believes his campaign has amassed enough force to guarantee serious consideration of these "liberty issues."

So this is what the Revolution is all about? Really?

Give me a fucking break. If I knew this is all they ever wanted, I never would have wasted my time.

I don't know, it's so hard to figure out what the hell Jesse Benton says and what he means.

All I know, he should of been on the covert team X crossing the country on grassroot delegate organizing and Doug Weade or some seasoned trusted spin doctor running the campaign. There's been plenty of amateurism

How much has Benton made off this campaign? almost $400,000 is a number I have seen bounced around but I am not sure how you go about finding that information.

It is very clear what is happening with the official campaign. Benton wants to have future influence and career prospects. He thinks us continuing to rock the boat will jeopardize that. He is also already planning for a Rand Paul 2016 run, so he puts that ahead of the present. Because of this, he is trying to get us to stop rocking the boat.

I'm in it to win it. Apparently many of you are not?

I know you have a group of supporters doing phone banking in LA but you guys really need to consider what will give our movement more leverage in the future.

We have a filing deadline on Friday for Washington supporters to file as candidates for Precinct Committee Officer. This is similar to the County Central Committee positions in CA but all it takes is 5 minutes online for someone to sign up as a candidate instead of gathering signatures in CA. If your entire group can focus on calling Washington supporters instead of Texas or California, I know we will have a great shot at controlling the Washington GOP for the next two years. Basically, I'm asking what is more effective for the movement...trying to win a dozen or so more delegates or winning leadership positions within the GOP for the next two years?

you've obviously missed the last few talks with wead. no one knows what's going on.

The thought I have is pure genius and cannot be discussed openly on this forum. It has not been brought up as of yet on this forum.

I keep saying something's not right about this announcment.... This is bound to depress people into giving up...why now...why when we still have so many fighting do they announce this now and we still have a long way to go? No...something's not right here. I don't understand this at all. This just seems nuts to me.
