Political Cartoon Ideas? Cartoonists? Post Here

Are there any people here who are skilled cartoonists? I suggest we communicate using pictures. This forum can think of many ideas which can be conveyed by cartoon imagery. This can be converted into very affordable newspaper advertising and get the message out more effectively than lines of passionate text. People are drawn to pictures and cartoons can be designed to convey very powerful messages.

But we need someone with skill to capture our concepts and turn them into pictures.

Perhaps a two frame layout with a problem/solution or fact/conclusion approach. Simple and direct ideas most everyone can grasp with ease. Time is short. Text takes too much time and effort for most casual readers to digest. People like and look at cartoons.

Anyone with good ideas can describe them here in this thread also. Any cartoonists can pick an idea and make a PDF and post it here and individuals can go ahead and buy advertising in local newspapers without any further coordination or money pooling required.

Hehe.. ok how about this?

There are two people one asks "Who are you gonna vote for?" and the other one says "I haven't decided yet. I'm gonna wait and see who the winner is gonna be.. I don't want to waste my vote."

Then the first one responds simply with a perplexed look strait at the viewer: "??"

Then maybe a summation block message "Don't waste your vote, vote Ron Paul in 2008"

What have people said to you when you talk to them about Ron Paul? That may give you some ideas.
It's not a horse race. Horses at the gate but Ron Paul is already at the finish line. Show the constitution winning. Show liberty statue winning, or not somehow if you vote for the wrong person.
Vote your own mind. Brain not your own, labeled as "media" and you somehow vote that way.
This is your candidate in the white house, any questions? (using the "this is your brain on drugs" frying pan egg thing, show any OTHER candidate)
Cigar anyone? (Show other candidates with monica aka clintons' cigar tube thing)
Something about monopoly money, do not pass go, do not keep your money or something like that. (printing money out of thin air issue)
IRS taking by force. Maybe show your kids "do you want this to happen to your kids?"
CFR, NWO, NAFTA, CAFTA, Ameros (OK maybe that's too advanced for the brainwashed, let's go slow)
NAFTA super highway, show illegals falling off trucks going every which way. Show the whole road/USA all the way and show little ant trails going to other states. Infestation!
Make adult cartoons, nude etc... for sites where people would pay more attention to that (make sure you say it's not part of the campaign private party etc..) Show clinton getting his "desk job".
Show us borrowing 10 billion from china and giving it to that guy [name here, I forget], maybe show USA struggling to pay it back, going into foreclosure.
Yea! Foreclosure, show the banks all going out of business. Show bankers with tongues out looking all crinkly and dried out, laying around with nothing to do, show collapse of the economy.
Super Paul! Saves the day! Have him save something (issues) dressed in costume.
Show everything going to hell and "Ron Paul told you so!"
Show Ron Paul owning FOX guy. Show FOX guy losing his job. Show FOX guy asking for job with campaign. Show FOX guy working for campaign.
For me: Show IRS guy (ugly) stealing tips off table, "you wouldn't do this, why should they be allowed to?" "it's your money, why let them steal it?" or something like that, black and white line drawing so I can photo copy it easy and pass it out with tips. (really, make the guy super ugly) Include Ron Paul "will stop this" and web site etc...

Want more ideas? Just ask! (or maybe you shouldn't have)

EDIT: Show the FOX focus group like puppets with strings attached, Murdock holding the strings, and make that poll guy some sort of stooge, or at least all goofy.

Here's an idea for anyone who can draw. A picture of Bush watching Ron Paul give a speech on T.V. surrounded by hundreds of supporters. The T.V. bubble (Ron Paul) should be a quote about civil liberties or ending our imperialist empire etc. Then Bush should be thinking "Dang, when I said I wanted to bring freedom to Iraq, I didn't mean for it to spread back here. When Cheney hears this he'll cut my allowance again...." or something along those lines.

What you guys think, funny or not?

Picture a scene with the Capitol as the background, symbolizing Washington. Various congressman and senators are standing together, throwing dollar bills carelessly in the air with big grins on their faces, repreesenting their careless spending. Ron Paul is on his knees, trying desperately to stuff the fallen dollar bills in to a sack that simply says AMERICA.

Hey I just got a new idea. A way to illustrate the point Ron made at the debate about social security. The irony that even though he would work to allow young people to opt out and eventually render social security a thing of the past the irony is Ron Paul is the best hope for social security for those who remain dependent on it so here goes

You got Ron with a college athletics style megaphone telling about a dozen college students they should be able to opt out of social security:

And those dozen students are carrying this huge hippopotamus who is riding on their upraised hands on its back, feet up into the air..

and the hippos' feet are holding up a whole bunch of old people using walkers and canes and wheelchairs etc.

The hippo has an incredulous expression on its face and on its side is written "Social Security"

So Ron is dressed as a zookeeper (he wears a cap that says "zookeeper") and he says to those few student age peeps holding up and carrying this dumb hippo.. "c'mon over here with that beast" and they are struggling to quickly unload their incredible cargo into the zookeeper's prepared refuge ready and waiting for a hippo. (there's a sign on the fence and guess what it says "reserved for social security hippos" on it)

Maybe Ron could be wearing a button on his jacket saying something simple like:

"save money, just come home"

You could have Ron saying something to the old folks instead like... "cut those kids loose.. let's mind our own business overseas and that hippo can rest in here"

One idea that I've had but lack the skills to portray is this:

A stagecoach labeled "America" rushing headlong towards a steep cliff

Hilary, Obama, McCain, and Romney riding it

Hilary and Obama yell "LEFT!"

McCain and Romney yell "RIGHT!"

Ron Paul yells "STOP!"

Either Ron Paul is on the stagecoach with them or maybe ahead of them with his hands out trying to stop them. Maybe put some crags at the bottom of the cliff that read "terrorist attacks, recession, depression, devauled dollar, death of the middle-class, etc"

I like MaidenFan's idea too, but would suggest keeping Bush's thought short and sweet "Dang, when I said I wanted to bring freedom to Iraq, I didn't mean for it to spread back here." and just show a TV with Ron Paul on it.
