Police Stop, Handcuff Every Adult at Intersection in Search for Bank Robber

Sounds like the police did their job–and did it exceptionally well!

This is one of the comments from the article. People like that are the ones that need some education or just need to be shipped out of the country.

Education; however, it is an accurate quote. The police work for the bankers. They did their job.

Good video. The only protection these innocent people have is the Constitution and the Fourth Amendment. They may be able to file a class action lawsuit for the harm done and the potential harm that could have been done as they were sitting ducks sitting along the roadside handcuffed waiting for an armed robber to show up. When Americans finally learn and enforce their rights as described in the 'Bill of Rights', then liberty wins.

I am curious if the bank robbers will get off on a technicality because of the way this search was conducted.

On another note, how protected were the handcuffed civilians? If the bank robbers would have jumped out and opened fire, would these innocent handcuffed citizens have been able to protect themselves?

I think the most calculated way to go about this would be to write a note while in your car that says "I will do as requested as long as no guns are pointed at me.", stick the note out the window, and close the window on it if you don't have tape, or find some other way to affix it there because you want your hands on the wheel and visible so they know you are not a threat worthy of threatening with death by pointing a gun at you.
....
..........
.............I probably would say things to cops, though. Things like "Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me." until they get the point that pointing a gun at someone is traumatic.

It's a good thought, and a commendable shot at resolving a dangerous situation in a peaceful and non aggressive manner, and I salute you for it.

But I'm afraid the whole thing is founded on the precept that at least a few of these guys can be reached through conscience and a sense of empathy. Call me jaded, but I'm personally of the opinion that most of these guys **LIKE** bullying people. The violence is a big part of the thrill for them.

Ever see the video of Arizona pastor Steve Anderson being tasered multiple times, dragged out of his car and beaten on the asphalt by the Border Patrol, all because he simply refused to exit his vehicle until they could provide probable cause?

Contempt of Cop is punishable by the severest of penalties, up to and including death.

Yet when a plumbers tools get ripped off, the cops are nowhere to be seen. Wait... could it... it must be... the cops are the elites private army and the banks their piggy....errrr... bank.
We had an employee steal plumbing tools, parts, heating parts, etc. His roomate turned him in for theft. The police were involved and they searched his house with the roomate's consent and we were there to identify things. All parts were taken by the police as evidence for a trial, we would be told when they were done with them so we could get them back. A few weeks passed and we hadn't heard a thing. We called - the ex-employee took a plea so they didn't need the evidence. They sold them at an auction.

Great, we had our police steal our own items. We didn't even get what they earned from auction!

Sad, but not at all surprising. IT IS ALL ABOUT GENERATING REVENUE NOW. People need to understand this. Forfeiture laws (highly unconstitutional, but hey, when has THAT stopped 'em??) are all the rage in law enforcement circles right now, because they are so incredibly lucrative.

And they say "crime doesn't pay".
