Beautifully stated.Good Man CJM!
Remember, everyone can play a character in this movement and candidates (especially) show who they really are when they are in office. I have been disappointed with some candidates I put so much time / resources into that lost or didn't live up to half of what they campaigned on.
When it came time to put up or shut up, Ben Swann put up and laid everything on the line!
It is my own opinion, but his face to face interview with the President should be plenty to convince us to donate to the Truth in Media Project. I argue that Ben's short segments are more effective than our current liberty roster in office (yes, their an important minority), because his skill set can be used to bring more members to the Liberty camp.
I see myself using lines such as, "you should check out the story this Emmy award winning journalist did covering the Federal Reserve for more information, ... and if you feel as passionate as I do on the topic - here's my contact information and we can talk." A lot easier then me spending 10-15 minutes trying my best to go through 70 years of bad monetary policy, gold standard, inflation, and the fallacy of "The Broken Window Theory."
Again, we pushed Kelly Clarkson to a #1 spot on Amazon.. spent days twitter / mail bombing other reporters just to acknowledge our existence.. and supporting random people that supported us only on some issues.
Give my a good reason why I should not spend the last 20 days donating and supporting to Ben Swann?
The bad thing about kickstarter is that you get any of the money if its not 100% funded. Why isn't this project popular? really? why? are we really that weak now? I wish i could donate, but i don;t have any money
Well Ron Paul is starting his own channel. If he got equipment he should/could and probably would give Ben to use it too. This would be mutually beneficial cooperation.
It is known that people on this forum are able to reach Ben Swan and Ron Paul. It is only logical that we put those two in contact and watch behind bushes what will they come up with. They could come to same conclusion let push them to make it sure.
Ben going on C-SPAN is a great idea!! I'm not sure how you get booked for the show, but I hope Ben and company look into this!Ben is awesome, but he has set himself up for a longshot. He needs to pull a hail mary and do the following to get close:
-Try to get Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Justin Amash, Thomas Massie, and Steve Stockman to post an endorsement on their Facebook/Twitter feeds.
-Try to get an endorsement from Campaign for Liberty and Liberty for All.
-Attempt to contact Peter Thiel and see if his network of donors are willing to invest a modest amount.
-Travel around and speak at campaign events for liberty candidates. Plug your project at the end.
-Try and get Judge Napolatano to mention it on Fox News. If not, maybe his Facebook and Twitter feeds.
-Look at getting on the Joe Rogan show.
-If anyone on Fox News will let you on, it will be Neil Cavuto.
-Travel around to cities and conduct small fundraisers/speech dinners with the proceeds going to the Kickstarter project.
-Try and get on CSPAN.
-Make a short tape/DVD and send it to every local public broadcasting station in the country.
-Get as many radio interviews as possible.
-Definitely look into Coast-to-Cost and Alex Jones.
-See if Drudge will link to one of your well-made videos.
-Pen a good article about the failure of broadcast media (good one) and send it to every newspaper in the country with a link to your project.
-Get all of your fans to write "letters to the editor" of every magazine, newspaper, blog, etc doing the same thing.
-See if you can get an interview with RT and Al-Jazeera English.
-See if you can get an interview with Charlie Sheen (this will bring in some traffic)
-See if you can get an interview with Vince Vaughn about his path to liberty
-Fly to Egypt, and do a special report "on the ground"
-Obviously, see if you can get on the Daily Show and/or Colbert Report. The Young Turks might not be bad either. Not sure if their audience is your prime donor base, but their videos can go viral.
-See if you can get an endorsement from Gary Johnson
-See if you can get a tweet/facebook/email from the Libertarian Party
-See if you can get a Facebook/email from the National Association for Gun Rights. Maybe you can make a deal to do a special on their organization and the differences between them and the NRA.
-See if you can get an endorsement for Oathkeepers. Same as above.
I don't see you getting there any other way. You only have so much juice with the Ron Paul Forum and Daily Paul hard-core crowd (as they are passionate, but not huge).
I am sure something will happen. Ben has already interviewed Ron Paul a few weeks ago. That interview will be released in about a week.
I tried to pledge. Apparently kick starter goes through amazon and requires a email address. My wife already has an account there, I don't know her password and i don't want to put it on her card anyhow. When I try to create my own account, it says my email address already has an account. On top of this about a month ago someone tried to use our joint card some where on the other side of the country. We canceled the card. I have been very leery of using any card on the internet since.
I do not I will look into it. Is paypal safe?Do you have a paypal account? See post 1 for information
