Please, Run Republican

Yes, the GOP is ripe for the taking right now, and having liberty democrats is a great idea. However, we should not discourage those who wish to seek election as a third party. Running as a third party is hard, yes, but it is not impossible. Anyone willing to bust their @$$ and spend some money, and it doesn't have to be a fortune, can make a good showing at the very least. I have already started the process to run for my state house in 2010 as a Libertarian. I know it will be a fight, but I do not consider it a waste of time/effort/money. As long as we can support each other, share ideas, and remain focused on our goals, we can make a difference in the next 4 years regardless of party.

Take back the GOP? Yes

Take over the Dems? Yes

Take back the LP? Yes

"As our enemies have found we can reason like men, so now let us show them we can fight like men also." -Thomas Jefferson.

Fight the establishment! Don't join it!

im a registered republican, and yet, i attend libertarian campus meetings and voted for bob barr.

im a libertarian at heart, who seeks to reform what was once supposed to be the major party of liberty, but now is a neoconservative establishment.

i can still be apart of the revolution, and reform the establishment.

and if we can get Dr. RP as the republican candidate, many obama supporters will vote for him.

many obama supporters have confessed this to me.

and Dr. RP, being himself, will not be beholdent to party politics, but will continue his career are congressman 'NO'.

i think we can still save the Republican Party.

a whole lot of people vote not weather you like one issue or another. they vote weather or not you have a D or a R in front of your name... and if you have an L in front of your name people will keep right on steppin. anybody who thinks we will educate America so much that people will look past that... keep dreamin! hence are only shot at this is if we work within those party's for change.:bunchies:

Well, in some cases it's better to run as a Democrat. Although I admire BJ Lawson for running against David Price in a heavily Democratic district, he is fighting an uphill battle. Sometimes you're chances are way better as a moderate Democrat. Besides we have to win over the liberals eventually.
