July 4th - too late, too crowded, hard to get permit, hard/expensive to get flight

Mem Day - too crowded, hard to get permit, hard/expensive to get flight

April 19th - reduces ability to have maximum turnout (students, parents, teachers)

June 7th - Our OWN special day, kids out of school, w/in Ron's requested time frame
and also "1893 - Gandhi's first act of civil disobedience." (found that out after the thought, but whatever)

edit: AND jrich points out that media will (hopefully :) )be ALL on us, as opposed to covering other possibly holiday activities

Early may would be the WORST for college students since that is when finals will be.

Saturday, June 7 sounds GREAT!

Dance Step Counts

Gosh .. we could even do like a Revolution Slide (Cha Cha )
Everyone can do it

6-7-8

That's memorable.

Regarding the transportation costs over Memorial Day weekend, perhaps they could be reduced if we rented a bunch of coach buses. Imagine decorated Ron Paul buses pulling into DC at the same time.

Still think Memorial Day is best....(Nothing against Hinduism)

WE WANT CROWDS. MASSIVE CROWDS. ESPECIALLY VETS...

Memorial Day helps differentiate RP on the war issue IMHO...

I like 6-7-8 too. It's not a day of any particular importance, but it's catchy, and easy to remember. Weather's probably turning sunny by then as well. I'd be in. :)

6-7-8 is great. It's far enough out, no major conflict, all the college-age support will be available...

and it's catchy
