Pella, Ia. – Georgia Republican Herman Cain has previously said he favors a return to the gold standard, but today he said he has changed his mind.

“One of my economic advisers said that it’s going to be more difficult than practical,” Cain told The Des Moines Register after a speech to a conservative group in Pella. “So yes, I want to return to a standard. But I’m the type if I’m wrong, I’m going to say, yeah.”

During his campaign speech, the presidential contender said he’s not sure “whether we could get all the way back to gold or not, I don’t know.”

The used goods exemption is such a gimmick. I asked 1 Cain supporter how many used goods is he/she purchasing at Walmart? Target? or your grocery store? Of course they refused to talk about that and just said how I did not understand his plan right. They are just repeating what Cain says! hahah

Maybe some of them will eventually figure it out, but I'm not too hopeful from what I've seen of them. I'm afraid to ask my mom what she thinks of Cain. If she likes him, I might lose all hope.

He's personally against it, meaning he wouldn't choose it in his own life, but he doesn't feel government should make such a decision for people. I don't see a problem here.
