From an email i received from my local co-ordinator today:

"Hello Liberty Activists:

Please take a moment out of your busy schedule to call Rick Larsen's offices and tell him that you are a taxpayer and want transparency in government so request that he co-sponsor HR 1207, the bill to audit the Federal Reserve because you want to know where trillions of our tax dollars have gone. And he should as well!
6 out of 9 of our congressmen and women in Washington State have signed on. Where is Rick Larsen? The bill now has 186 co-sponsors.

Mark Bloudek (from Seattle) has been helping us and is now being stonewalled by Betsy, the Congressman's aide, who said she would talk to Rick and get back to him, but now won't speak to him. He has said we will call, so now is the time!

You can call his congressional office toll free - use one of the 3 numbers

877-851-6437
800-828-0498
866-220-0044

after dialing the number, the operator will ask you which office - simply request "Rick Larsen's office".... Once you get to the office, you can ask for Besty Rolvely, who is the Aide responsible for this kind of bill. She is probably unavailable, so you can ask for her voice mail or leave a message with the gentleman answering the phones.
You can also call and leave a message at the local offices and they will be open this afternoon. But do call Washington, even if you do it tomorrow morning."

Thanks guys for any help, as Rick voted for the bailout, and is a DEMOCRAT in my district..

Also...

For those who might want to send a fax, here's a "sample" fax text in support of HR1207, courtesy of RonPaul.com:

http://www.ronpaul.com/on-the-issues/audit-the-federal-reserve-hr-1207/

You can just cut-n-paste the text and fill in the appropriate spaces.

Want to fax for free via the internet? Check out: http://faxzero.com/ the fax is sent for free, although there's an ad on the cover sheet.

Personally, I would recommend everyone CALL Representative Larsen.

But if you're too shy or non-confrontational... PLEASE at least send a fax! It won't even cost you anything!! :)

TEXT:

Dear Representative,

Please co-sponsor and/or support H.R.1207, an effort to audit the Federal Reserve.

Recently, it has come to light that there is little to no accountability to the people on the part of the Federal Reserve. While the citizens of this country are required by law to give an accounting of every penny they come in contact with, the Federal Reserve has never been held to the same standard. During this time of extreme economic crisis, the people deserve an accounting of where our money is going.

Currently there are 186 co-sponsors for this legislation, and it is enjoying bi-partisan support. Your efforts in supporting this important legislation would go a long way in proving to your constituents that you not only hold the Federal Reserve to the same standard as you do your constituents, but it would also show that you believe in transparency. Anything less than support for this resolution suggests that you are in favor of secrecy and a lack of accountability to the people who pay the bills. We pay the tab; we have a right to know where our money is going.

Unlike recent bills that you voted in favor of that had hundreds of pages and just a few hours to read, this bill can be read in under 5 minutes. I encourage you to take the time to read it, and then move to support it.

Thank you in advance for your attention on this important legislation. I have every expectation that you will do right by your constituents and support this measure.

Sincerely,

Thankyou. Yes, those numbers are for the D.C offices.

Blitz away fellow liberty lovers!

Ha!

I just called Rep. Larsen's D.C. office to plug HR1207. The guy who answered the phone sounded hoarse, and when I mentioned HR1207 he just said, "....Oh."

Keep the calls coming! (we need an "evil grin" smiley!)

Oh, and since Rep. Larsen represents Washington State, District 2:

If people from the cities and towns in this district call in particular, it will be more meaningful.

We have a pretty good network of CFL, and local meetups of Ron Paul supporters in this district, with a very impressive email list that spans the entire state, so i'm guessing that the email i received was received by several thousand statewide.

Thanks again for the help, and keep on him. I'm calling again tomorrow.
