What are we going to do? I have heard the national campaign has not given any of the delegates or alternates any strategy information, or anything.

What about trying to convince these McCain and uncommitted delegates, is there a list of addresses we could mail them letters, or pro-life slim jims

What about sign waving in front of the state convention. Playing youtube sound clips, huckabee against LSU, McCain and more wars, etc... HOw about holding up large banners reminding the uncommitted who voted for them and their committment. Other banners to discredit Huckabee and McCain. We could print up a huge McCain vs McCain banners. Let people know the difference between Ron Paul's Pro-Life plan and Huckabee's impossible constitutional amendment.

Have we called all the alternates to ensure they will be there. Other states say delegates neglect to show up sometimes.

I guess my point is we need a plan! I am not a delegate or an alternate, but if other people were going out there to inform the uncommitted of what their promise to their voters were I would be out there waving and talking.

Any of you have connections with the LA GOP =P ha ha ha. I was thinking I would call tomorrow and find out if I could set-up a Huckabee table, and where we could set it up. Would there be electricity available. Those kind of things.

If it is in the morning I say we butter them up. Krispy Kreme, Coffee, Bottled water

We'll make a big banner outside

Win One for the Gipper
Uncommitted PRO-Life Pro-Family
Today is Our Day!

Have all sorts of information at the table comparing all 3 stances on Pro-Life and Pro-Family. Have some other people playing hte anti-mccain and huckabee stuff on the other side. Handing out Pro-Life ROn Paul slim jims.

Have we nominated people? Can some delegates call the National Campaign tell them to get off their ass on this!

Only those people elected as state delegates can nominate national delegates.
I was asked tonight if I would accept a nomination, and i affirmed, so I should be one of the national delegates up for vote in district 5.

Well we don't know who state delegates are yet correct? How is the deadline tomorrow if that vote hasn't occurred yet?

So what's going on tomorrow? Are the state delegates getting together to vote on national convention delegates?

I guess the lawsuit and official contest are not going to get us all our rightful delegate seats in time?

The state convention is Saturday the 16th. We need to have some sort of organized effort. If all the different Districts could do something we should all be able to get together and do something big.

Wine and dine the uncomitteds!

I think people need to be nominated by tomorrow.

I suppose if the courts find in favor of the campaign, they will be negating some of the rules on deadlines as well. There is no information on the "official" LAGOP site about the state convention, so they are in violation again of the rules set forth by the RNC. They are making this up as they go, extremely sloppy.

Are non delegates allowed in the building or just outside? I didn't get elected but I think to establish Ron Paul as THE pro life candidate to the PLPF delegates would be important. I think there will be some aggressiveness toward McCain people by the PLPF for fooling them into single slate. This should be interesting.

Is the State Convention a "public" event? Do you have to be a delegate to attend? I didn't even see the time or place on the LAGOP site, but I could be blind.

Well what time is it for? What do you guys think of the ideas I have? I sent a message to several Louisiana meet-ups. Hopefully they will want to take part in this effort. This is the the second most important thing we can do next to the Jan 22 caucus, i believe.

I'm going to call LA GOP tomorrow, as Republican students of UNO (making it up). We want to come out and show our support for McCain and help convert uncommitted delegates. What are the ins and outs of the state convention. I think I'll mention the group and who we "support" if they ask.

So what is the word on this? Is the public allowed in the Convention? I think I could get a few from Beaumont to come if we're allowed. We can make sure that Ron Paul's supporters are seen and heard, if nothing else.

I think we should setup a spot outside and give free doughnuts for life. Life for our soldiers and the unborn.

Michigan State Convention

OOOOh!!!!! I can't stand it ! I'm goin'!

I feel your pain Sandra! I am going to the Michigan GOP convention even though I am not a delegate either. However, I am filing a presidential preference form with the credential committee as uncommitted to try for one of the delegates that would have been awarded to Romney for our congressional district.

Then too, there is the chance with the bad weather we have been having that some of the delegates and their alternates may not show up. And I and my daughter will be there to step up.

keep on keepin' on.:)

I will try to convert what delegates I can to Ron Paul. Also I heard there might be some fireworks between the PLPF slate and the McCain slate! I don't want to miss it!
