Alright, we can mourn for a bit, but soon we must start planning for 2014 and 2016.
I say we take a break until the inauguration in January, then get started on the 2014 mid-term elections.
We need well-qualified people to run for office, and people to be involved in their local and state parties.
In the meantime, we need people to be teachers, journalists, attorneys, campaign managers, etc.
Make some babies for liberty as well. Teach your children to love life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Learn from our mistakes. Become a person with a fantastic reputation in your community. Start writing letters to the editor of your local papers. Stay out of trouble with the law. Get out of debt.
Educate your friends and family. Find areas of agreement with people. Don't focus on fringey issues. Learn to realize how most people think. If we understand people who aren't in the liberty bubble, and why and how they think the way the do, then we can influence them. Make a lot of friends who disagree with you.
Read.
I suggest starting with: How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
We can make a difference. We must think strategically, we must think long term. Do not burn bridges, but build them.
Start saving up money to support liberty candidates down the road.
Don't give up.
We are the future.
