I spy an opportunity for Appleseed to perform an innovative and high-profile Community Service. Heed the calls for Volunteerism made by pompous privileged David Gergen and pompous privileged Barack Obama.

NOT impugning Appleseed or Appleseed people, I have only just made their acquaintance, but one cannot have lived a certain number of years (or any time at all in my family) without encountering a certain amount of Racism in America -- and perhaps a trifle more of it among Rednecks, Conservatives and Libertarians. If old-school Racism could be checked at the door along with ego -- it must be owned that most white Americans have more in common with black Americans than they have with Ruling Elite Americans or with Foreigners -- there is every reason to suppose that America's aimless AND angry Youth would be as AT LEAST as responsive to the tangible prospects afforded by Liberty as to the other worldly prospects allegedly afforded by Islamic Extremism . . . AFTER they blow themselves to bits.

NEVER is how often SOMEONE doesn't finally make a coalition out of a large disenfranchised section of humanity. Better that we should get OUR Disenfranchised on OUR side before China gets ITS Disenfranchised on ITS side. OR before another country gets OUR Malcontents on THEIR side.

McDonalds Corporation, a cash cow since its inception, has done FUCK-ALL for this country -- even now, when we are in deepest distress.

McDonalds Corporation is one of the FEW outfits whose sales are up and, STILL, they just rake in the dough and devote their best energies to protection and enhancement of Market Share. You cannot imagine how many trademarks McDonalds has derailed, with the full cooperation of the federal government, claiming anticipatory protection against anyone using the Mc prefix, for ANYTHING.

They did it to me with McGreet Greeting Cards, just pulled the rug right out from under me. Hoping to re-visit what I contend was a clear violation of the spirit of Trademark Law in favor of the Moneyed Party, I have cast the bait of a blog entitled McPolitics. Wankers.

Suffice it to say that with AT LEAST a dozen comparable Fast Food joints to choose from, it would be no hardship for Americans to boycott this behemoth and it would be exceedingly empowering. The Factory Takeover to the Nth Degree. If McDonalds saw its sales plunge for even one MONTH, they would commence falling all over themselves to see how they and their considerable war chest might help turn this economy around.

I am Irish by heritage and brooding by nature. I am forbidden to drink -- think Eden/apple but also baby/candy -- and then I, who have principally harmed only myself, am rendered virtually a criminal for smoking weed. I "find myself" financially AND medically vulnerable in ways and to degrees that I NEVER imagined. Being in this precarious position is owing in some measure, obviously, to my own shitty judgment but it is also, MORESO owing to the actions . . . pro-Action . . . of some irresponsible people, some stupid people and some dastardly people.

I'm down to two gears for mad -- PISSED OFF and PAYBACK IS A BITCH.

I TOTALLY apologize for the heavy hand. But I also totally stand by my remarks on Racism. THAT'S what I want to come back to, in a constructive way. The Ruling Elite USES the natural prejudices and eccentricities of Republican and Conservative and Libertarian. EVERYONE has them. The Power Structure exploits them, not least because People Of Power are usually the MOST committed to the concept of a Tiny Impregnable IN Crowd. Wealth Superiority trumps Racial Superiority. But the concept of Racial Superiority is EXTREMELY helpful to the cause of Wealth Superiority.

And I want to come back to this. I am NOT telling us that we are "not good enough." On the contrary, I am shouting at the top of my finger tips.

Oh come the fuck on. Those animals don't have any decency. It's probably the one place in the world where both the law enforcement and the populace are equally as savage. I've seen videos of street mobs who pulled a girl who was suspected of being a police informant out of her car and beaten her to death.

My solution for Oakland? Bus the football team out, then nuke from orbit. Saves time and money (for all the welfare parasites).

i figured they were protesting police brutality. insurance will cover the property damage, but who will pay for the loss of life? i wouldn't argue that the people are not drunken idiots. apparently the only way americans seem to be able to get up enough nerve to engage in civil disobedience is either by being an idiot or being drunk or both.

at least they tried to show some outrage. meanwhile, the masses sit by and watch civility disintegrate as we debate the nuances of what constitutes a proper response to murder at the hands of those trusted to protect.
